Probably a strong home crowd that got behind them the same way as they do away from home. That’s got to be hard given how bad performances have been at home! I don't like this myth that the fans are somehow part of the problem. Whilst the Bet 365 hasn't exactly been rocking for a long time, given the circumstances and the fact that we seem to be racking up negative records left, right and centre I think the support has been remarkably positive. There's been a distinct lack of booing, Jones out chants and the usual stuff you'd expect from a team in such dismal form and there's been a decent amount of vocal support whenever there's been any small signs of encouragement on the pitch. If anything we've probably too nice, if the crowd had properly turned we'd have got Jones out by now I'd imagine. But that's history, we're stuck with him now so we're just left with blind faith that he can turn it around. Let's hope Swansea was the turning point and not just a flukey one off and we back it up with another win today. I like the guy despite my misgivings over his abilities and I hope he proves me wrong. |

The kit isn't the issue.
The issue is we always seem to have 11 players on the pitch who are devoid of confidence and self-belief with seemingly no-one amongst the ranks of players or management to put that right.
Once upon a time, we had team psychiatrists to work on mental issues - I wonder if that was scrapped and thrown away?
We also had coaching staff who drilled into each and every player what their role was on any given day.
But we'll change the kit and the stadium name, that'll work.
