Apologies if this has already been posted on here, but I couldn't seem to see anything. Now I'm not claiming to be ITK or anything like that, but I bumped into an old school friend this morning - and he currently works at Clayton Wood.
Apparently, we played a 'behind closed doors' friendly against Sheff Weds on Wednesday evening at Clayton Wood, all first team players barring internationals, and we won 3-1. Apparently we played very well by all accounts and he was very impressed.
I REALLY hope that the Swansea win was a turning point for Jones. He seemed to think the squad all seemed buoyant following last Saturday - we really do need to harness that now and carry it forward in the league. It means nothing if we then lose the next 2 or 3.

Seems a little odd when we play them on 11 days time🤔 Agreed! I know he definitely works there though, and I don't see any reason why he'd lie. As I said I'm far from claiming to be ITK or anything like that - just passing on what I'd heard.

Bit strange if true but if we came out 3-1 winners (assuming they went full strength) then we must have been doing something right in the match.
Fulham will be strong test for us at home.
Thanks for the info!

Could he leak the lineup please? Well interestingly we know that Etebo and Badou were certainly not playing, and no Joe Allen either!

Seems a little odd when we play them on 11 days time🤔 Maybe the old school friend just shuffled there on a Wednesday. Sounds a bit like Sheffield Wednesday. No offence stokie223 - just a joke.

It was Sheff Utd and Stoke won 4-1. Powell twice, Campbell and Jarvis

Strange how we can go from a dire performance vs Huddersfield to beating Wednesday 3-1 🤔

It was Sheff Utd and Stoke won 4-1. Powell twice, Campbell and Jarvis Close then... kind of. To be fair I could have misheard on the scoreline but he definitely said Wednesday.

By all accounts we played very well though which is encouraging. We've really got to carry this and the Swansea result into our next few games.

Playing well is always good, but it does depend who they were playing against. Could of been a team of kids from United, we perhaps will never know.
