So it’s the day of the (first) big debate. The winner will be whoever fucks up the least. Good luck to any of you who decide to watch. I’ll find something better to do. Which won’t be hard! I predict a huge "gaff" from Boris. Something for the public to rage at that will knock a few points off his lead. It's all going too well at the moment. We can't be having any form of Brexit, can we?

Yesterday on R4 Today Angela Lansdown for the Tories was hopelessly evasive on immigration. Today we had John McDonnell for Labour being hopelessly evasive on student debt. Tomorrow, maybe, the LibDems get the chance to be horribly evasive on something. It’s a good job the cricket starts later today, and we have some football to watch this weekend (and there’s always mountains to climb). Because this election politics stuff is shite. View Attachmentlistening to a labour MP being interviewed is the most frustrating thing, they seem literally shit scared of giving a definitive answer on almost everything, the tories can be equally evasive but i think if you asked the average person on the street what they stood for they could tell you, especially the big issues of the day IE brexit, immigration, the economy, labour have been a total mess so far in terms of getting a message out and its probably down to in fighting between the various factions within it.

I think no matter what Boris does or doesn't do, or has or has not done in the past, Jezza isn't really likely to capitalise on it is he ?
He's had numerous opportunities to wound Boris's popularity and "image" and he hasn't really made any inroads whatsoever.
Boris is a liar and overall is fairly woeful but when he's up against an absolutely ineffective and abysmal opponent with an even worse popularity rating he's sitting fairly comfortably.

Does anyone even need to watch it? I'll take a stab at what will happen... Rog, FYD etc... Will say that Boris did amazing, he gave honest answers yadda yadda, and Jezza the Jew hater was awful, looked lost, didn't actually answer anything blah blah. Boris won 10-0. Momo, M, Essex etc... Will say that Boris did shit, he's a massive liar & a bunch of ists & isms. Jezza, on the otherhand, showed what a kind & caring person he is with such a great vision for the country under his leadership. Jezza won 10-0. They're the most pointless shit ever that will change precisely zero peoples minds on who to vote for.

I think Corbyn's interview with Andrew Marr was illuminating. He couldn't answer a simple question, would he prefer if we left the EU. Why couldn't he even say he would prefer to leave, but it was up to the party to decide? Also, he was very patronising and a bit sneering. I used to think he was at least civil, but I have seen a snide side to him lately and he's starting to piss me off.

Another stand up Tory guy www.buzzfeed.com/alexwickham/tory-candidate-tenants-tent-field"Six o'clock every morning, let's have them up, let's have them in the field, picking potatoes or any other seasonal vegetables, back in the tent, cold shower, lights out, six o'clock, same again the next day. That would be my solution." The nasty party doesn't really sum them up anymore does it. More the evil party.

And rightly suspended within a matter of hours with an expulsion to follow whereas Labour spent 2 years trying not to kick out Ken Livingstone and the guy standing against Boris is a 9/11 truther with a history of anti semitic comments but he seems to be another memember to have apologised since becoming a candidate and has been on a journey amazing hey.

I dont even plan on watching actually my vote is decided on implementing brexit, boris will keep saying lets get brexit down etc, Corbyn will say its the last chance to save the NHS since the last chance in 2017, trump bollocks, gender neutral toilets and all the latest rubbish about legacies of colonisation and free stuff for everyone that someone else will pay for.

He is talking about nuisance tenants who make many other law abiding citizens life misery without fear of any punishment, they then just got moved into another place to trash again. Somewhere there has to be a happy medium between rewarding these people with a new home and making them live in a tent, although it wont happen of course but I am pretty sure if just one family was punished in this way, instances of nuisance would drop off a cliff.

If it is real then it's one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen. With the way politics is going you'd also have to question the timing of it, how it's suddenly been exposed in public, and if it's in anyway been orchestrated in collaboration with an opposition party.

To be fair Foster it's happening to the Conservative party as well but more via the disgruntled Remainer route. With the Labour party it's the unhappiness of long standing Labour supporters who don't fit in with the new leadership. I would imagine most of the senior Labour figures are just biting their lips not wanting to rock the boat prior to an election but at some point in time there's going to be a bloodbath.

The Green Party manifesto says they will plant 700 million new trees by 2030, that’s just over 130 trees every minute of every day for 10 years.
Is that a feasible target?

Its very much true, one of Jeremy's friends was imposed on the local party, her role has been to deny antisemitism and kick it into the long grass this is her reward despite the local party wanting a local candidate of indian heritage to replace the washing machine salesman who has left politics to spend more time with his unexplained fortune.

Jezzas unpopularity is self inflicted and just gets worse every time him or one of his cronies opens their mouth. Labour should be streets ahead after a decade in opposition
