Tomorrow a new kind of TV show starts in Sweden on National TV, called "Tjuv och Police" (Thief and Police), where 10 ordinary people commit a robbery of 50 Million Swedish crowns (£M4.5) and are then chased for 14 days by 14 police men.
To me, for a tv show, it sounds insane.
I've read this sort of tv show was shown last year in The Netherlands and England, so I simply wonder: Was it an good? Stupid? Did the masses learn from this not to commit crime, as the swedish program makers claim?
🤔

Simple solution is simple. Grab the money and bunker down in one of Sweden's many no-go areas and wait for the clock to tick down.

Simple solution is simple. Grab the money and bunker down in one of Sweden's many no-go areas and wait for the clock to tick down. This week the politicians decided to let the Military work closely with the Police in those certain no-go areas, which are increasing in numbers every year. And 10.000 new educated police men will be installed as well. I never thought I'd have to experience this. But ... has this show been on TV in England, as they say ... ?

but ... has this show been on TV in England, as they say ... ? Can't say I've seen, or heard of it, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been on. There is a similar programme on Channel 4 called 'Hunted', where a dozen or so members of the public are dropped off somewhere and then have to evade capture by 'the state' for three weeks or so. There's no robbery involved though.

From the tv trailers and other tv clips, it doesn't seem to be a nice family friendly entertainment show early in the evening, as he claims. A lot of (10) masked people scaring the shit of out people not knowing it's a tv show, to begin with ... Some of these days a person sees this kind if activity from a distance, and lets his/her gun speak - also not knowing it's tv ... Mark my words

There was one on last year called "the heist" a group of people who didnt know eachother robbed a security van, they split the money and if they could avoid being charged by the police (former officers from around the uk) then they got to keep the cash.
It was a good watch and less scripted than "hunted", what was interesting was that even though it was for tv and obviously not real, the amount of stress the contestants were displaying about being caught was unreal.

It was good TV. In much the same way as hunted is. I love Hunted, but I do find myself shouting at the TV for some of the idiotic decisions the contestants make in the show though. Take that RMC from the last series, he knew exactly how to evade capture as he'd been through DTSO and yet he still went and let an old pal, one that he knew they'd staking out, drive him to his house in daylight. I'm sorry, but that was just plain idiotic. If he wanted to go to that guy's place so bad then get out of the car a mile or two down the road and TAB it, use your skills. Like the other dumb fucks who leave a nice detailed write-up of all their contacts and action plan on their social media for the Hunters to find. Why use social media when paper and a pencil is available? First thing anyone with half a brain should do upon hearing they're in the show is to commit as much to memory as possible and destroy the paper trail. It's almost as if they're told to do stupid things as part of the contract for appearing on the show.
