Thats it iam off bed feel a bit drunk Red's Revenge Tony Pulis was full of praise for his players following their emphatic 3-0 win at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night. Goals from Richard Cresswell and Ryan Shawcross either side of a James Beattie own goal secured the Potters third straight victory, lifting them in to the Play-Off positions. The City boss revealed his players were desperate to put the record straight following the Blades win at the Britannia Stadium three weeks ago. Saying: "After the 1 - 0 defeat at home three weeks ago, the lads were really looking to put a good performance tonight. Article continues Advertisement "We're really pleased to come to the favourites for promotion and to win 3 - 0, that will give a lot of confidence to the dressing room. "We knew we had to take the game to them rather than waiting for them to come at us, and we did that by getting ourselves three goals up after just 20 minutes." Pulis also admitted he was delighted with the Potters third clean sheet in four games, insisting the new lads at the back are now beginning to develop a good understanding of each other. Adding: "Danny Pugh has settled in well and he looks like a real find for us. "The partnership between Shawcross and Cort is looking stronger every game. "We had to chop and change the right back again, but Wilko came in and was fantastic and when Gabby came on he fitted in straight away too."

Is it just me or do I detect Tony is becoming more positive in his interviews no longer telling us how big every other club is, just concentrating on the positives at Stoke
