Great to see him tonight, let's put this myth that he's not up to it to bed. He's got a load of talent and should be starting. Surely has to start the next game.

He's strikingly similar to James McClean on the ball - though much better!

Its not quite a myth though is it, he needs a long run to prove it one way or the other.

Put 3 crosses in in 30 seconds and seemed to inject a bit of urgency in a game that seemed to be played by zombies. Gouranga.

On that showing he certainly deserves more than a cursory 10 minutes at the end.

If the manager is being cautious re him coming back from long term injury that understandable but more than 10 minutes next time please.

I don’t see the attitude problem, from what I’ve seen of him. He seems prepared to track back and work hard off the ball. My issue with him is he’s too lightweight, frail and injury prone. Purists won’t like this, but he’s lacking physically. That's what concerns me as well. He got his injury pretty right in front of me and it was a nothing incident - he just got crocked by a player standing his ground. He looked like a boy playing in a man's game. Some players can come though younger than Verlinden but they tend have the physicality to endure the knocks, I just hope he's matured physically during his layoff. Didn't Campbell get injured in a nothing incident? Even the toughest suffer knee injuries.

We brought him on and then decided to boot the ball up to Fletcher for the last ten minutes. We need to get the ball to his feet in and around the box. He's a nightmare to defend against.

I think it’s fair to say MON has shown he knows how to blend in youth to good effect. I think you can trust him to do the best for the player.

Can you put the myth to bed based on 15 or so minutes? Trust O’Neill I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. Hopefully gets more minutes and can make an impact soon.

These younger players just need to be given games, injury or not... we could hang on for another 5 or 6 games, drip feeding him in 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there.... but that would be another 5 or 6 games where he COULD have made a difference, and before you know it there’s not enough of the season left for him to have a decent impact.
He’s come through the U23’s unscathed, so play him. If he gets injured again then so be it. But I’d rather regret him playing and getting injured, than not playing and wondering ‘if only we’d played him more often...”

we need to ease him back in, no point rushing him back after such a big injury, some players never get back from an ACL rupture.

MON isn't daft- he'll ease him in gradually. We desperately need some attacking spark up there without Campbell but we've got to trust the manger to handle this correctly. He's the one who has access to all the fitness data and what have you from the physios and medical team.

Does he flatter to deceive? Whenever I've seen him play he clearly has bags of natural ability and gets into good positions but his final ball is usually disappointing. I'd love to see it all come together for him but he is definitely work in progress.

That convinces me - they have been being careful with him, given the seriousness of his injury I can understand that. So that's good. Give it a few games and his quality should really start having an effect on the game. Just like it did the last time he got a run of games.

He did exactly what he should have done when he came on, injected some energy and provided an outlet.
He'll provide a good option from the bench.

He was a complete breath of fresh air and provided something we didn't have for the previous 80 minutes.
I don't know about flatter to decieve he's put himself in line for a start if we're serious about scoring again.
