Last few years of Premier flew by, i was thinking mid table Premier team all would be play and then we got relegated. I was told and read we will be back, the club won't allow us to do a Sunderland and still i don't believe we are that bad but you need players with desire and fight. We do not have this. After last night i’m now realising we are just rolling along just thinking all will be ok, we will pull this around and i think this is from top to bottom of the club. We all need to wake up. I have my passion bizarrely back after going Preston, i realise we need to fight to get our passion and club back. I think Coates family and Scholes are in shell shock and do not realise how quickly we are eroding. I will always back the family for what they have given us in the second coming. Full on passion is back. Against Leeds I’m throwing my blanket to the ground and punching my cushion for my seat ( may even stamp on it and throw it in the bin)and shouting “ i’m Colin , i got carried away with the cosy days but i’m back now, i’m rolling my sleeves of my cashmere sweater up and i mean business”

Interestingly after the second goal last night I got angry for the first time in months, maybe since the Premier League days actually. Somehow, we've become so shit it momentarily snapped me out of my apathetic state. Unfortunately (or fortunately for my mental health) I returned to my apathetic and accepting self when the 3rd goal went in.

That’s the problem for me I am getting less angry and more apathetic.....it feels like the coma of going into the old third division?
I think he needs to go 3 at the back and stick to it for a while to try and be more solid.

I’m bewildered after last night.
It’s not been good for a while but the Charlton, Wigan and certainly Derby games offered a glimmer of promise that something good was on the horizon at least. Yet just a few days later that dream seems shattered.
I’m not sure what it is with NJ. I desperately want him to succeed more than any other manager we’ve had, and I go back to the Waddo days. Not just for me or Stoke City but for the guy himself. I’m still prepared to give him time and stick with it but we need results badly now.
He needs to make some bold decisions, certain players need dropping and he needs to be big enough to admit his all conquering diamond formation just isn’t working in this league.
I really do hope he sorts it but time is ticking and this can’t go on for much longer. Maybe an older head brought in as an advisor / mentor could help, who knows ? Would NJ accept he needs help ? Would the board sanction it ? Would anyone be willing to help him in that capacity ?

It's really weird. At the start of the season I was sure this season was going to be fun - if not promotion at least some good football and the hope of success. But now it's all evaporated after only 4 games!. Jones talks a good game(as did Rowett) but now it all sounds false and his desperate change of formation mid games and his substitutions are well; simply unfathomable. His squad rotation of some and not others is also worrying(contract clause or not), I sometimes feel that I'm watching a different game to him. I still want him to succeed but I'd much prefer he shuts up and concentrates on sorting the mess out.

I watched last nite aghast
then resorted to gallows humour
we are not the potters - we are the stripey deckchairs
bright and colourful
stripey
often rearranged
and fold very easily

It was really brought home to me how poor we were last night: no banter at work today, everybody was being really nice,as if to say "he's off limits- the poor b*stard supports Stoke..."

I’ve had the same. People being nice to me and asking if I want a cup of tea! WTF! Even my Liverpool supporting friend messaged to say “Chin Up”.... 🤮
