Did anybody try to console Jack, or gee him up, after the howlers tonight? I only saw Tom E.
On Saturday, after the great save near the end, how many players mobbed him for saving the game?

Symptomatic of a complete lack of confidence throughout the squad

Didn’t see any Stoke players consoling him but the Preston keeper did after the game. Goalkeepers union and all that.

Danny bath went to console him but by the time he got to him play had kicked off again.

Something is clearly very wrong with him and he needs some help (whilst being dropped). I was as furious as anyone else tonight but I don’t believe he doesn’t love this club and that it’s really a case of him not trying. And then for Jones to come out and announce on national tv that he’s basically going to drop him was appalling man management IMO. There’s honesty and then there’s being a complete and utter embarrassment.

Jones’ mistake is playing Allen.
The Players need to take some responsibility, some of them are taking this piss big style.

He changed agents last year to the same agent Rooney had years ago. He did that for one reason and one reason only and it's blown up in his face. I'd put a lot of money on that being a big part in his performances now.

This all goes back to the time lee grant was dropped, for no other reason than, Butland was fit again.
Ridiculous. You can't play people on name
Lee grant, should be our goalie
But the club just doesn't work like that
For lee grant, read tom Edwards. Another one dropped for coming in and playing well.

You only have to look at the expressions on his face to see there’s something really wrong. Of course he probably wanted to move but to suggest he’s now deliberately acting up is ridiculous.

What's wrong with him is he expected to be gone and is stuck here and he can't get his head around it.

Butland has been brought down a peg of two. If I was in his position I wouldn’t have the nerve to post on social media after a 2-2 fucking draw with Derby at home. He’s a year older than me and in one whole week he earns twice what I earn in a year.

He’s probably had it in his head for the past 12 months or more that he’d be back in the Premier League by now. His expression tonight simply mirrored his fall from grace. Is he bothered that Stoke have just lost again and are bottom of the league? Is he bollocks. Is he bothered that he’s gone from being an international goalkeeper to a likely 2nd choice Championship goalkeeper? Absolutely.

Changed agents to give him a better chance of a move, it hasn't happened and now it's playing on his mind. It's quite simple to understand.

Which is different to what when I said that’s somethings clearly wrong and it’s not a simply case of not trying? Or were you just arguing with me for no reason and calling me a troll when you’re the one trolling our player? As I said of course he wanted to leave but someone needs him to help him fix his head. Throwing him under the bus in a post match interview which wasn’t necessary as everyone else can see is not going to help the situation is it.

Of course he’s bothered about his fall from grace but I don’t think it’s right to suggest he’s deliberately not trying. I’m not suggesting that for a second. My point is only that he clearly needs some help. I totally get that he would prefer not to be here but I do believe he does care about this club. He’s not one of the ones that has never cared. My feeling is this is actually a lot harder to deal with than he realised. I was as annoyed as the next person as I said tonight with him but I wasn’t half as angry as I was listening to that interview. Which IMO will only make the media circus and the situation worse.

For him, he thought all he needed was a new agent when what he actually needed was better distribution, to stop letting in pea rollers from the edge of the box and possibly command his own area. Easy mistake to make.

He’s fit a big target on him now. Have a go shag he’s shit!

I really can’t believe some of the comments on here tonight. Yes it could be argued that JB has/is lacking in confidence which have been costly. To suggest he has been less of a professional in his approach is vindictive for the sake of it and really unwarranted.

Now I like Jack and it's too late tonight for me to write a completely sensible critique BUT if anyone recorded tonight's televised edition take a look at the shots in the tunnel before the match. Jack and their keeper are cosily chit-chatting and laughing behind hands and towels and Our captain turns a couple of times for a bit of a mean stare at them. Nobody else as far as I could see fraternised for want(or not) of a better word. Jack has to be dropped. As for Nath, well I think he still has a lot to offer at THIS point. I think the players generally have his back. He's integrated the young lads and bought in some players with heart. Time for them all to get together behind closed doors and thrash this out. The tactics aren't working but we do have the players to make a really good side and Nathan has gone some way to assemble them. I truely beleive that it can be turned around. It's just going to take some home truths, maybe some 'handbags' and a bit of backing down. These lads and manager CAN give us the team we want. Lets see if everyone has the balls to admit their responsibility failings and turn the page.
