If Cameron hadnt blocked onshore wind, we would we be way down the road to achieving a very high % of renewable energy targets, and wouldnt have to be spending £billions more now than it would have cost back then.

If Cameron hadnt blocked onshore wind, we would we be way down the road to achieving a very high % of renewable energy targets, and wouldnt hae to be spending £billions more now than it would have cost back then. Politicians have to be brave to go ahead with long term investment. Cameron's "cutting the green crap", mainly the limits on wind and insulation have cost Brits a fuckton. But he thought it would get votes in the short term so he sold us out.

And as much as people might choose to hate on Greta Thunberg, she's right about the COP gatherings - just lots of talk and little meaningful action. Incredible that it's taken 28 years of them to even get to the stage of mentioning a move away from fossil fuels. Imagine if we'd started doing that back in 1990, probably be there by now. That 1.5 degrees limit looks highly unlikely.

Oh crap. "The owner of Hinkley Point C has blamed inflation, Covid and Brexit as it announced the nuclear power plant project could be delayed by a further four years, and cost £2.3bn more. The plant in Somerset, which has been under construction since 2016, is now expected to be finished by 2031 and cost up to £35bn, France’s EDF said. However, the cost will be far higher once inflation is taken into account, because EDF is using 2015 prices."

The Knutton “tornado” has made the national news. Is this down to climate change as well? All I know is that the weather for this time of year is the wettest and windiest I can remember. Hark back to 2020, the dreaded Covid year, it was all gardening and barbecues in April🤨

Thanks Mr Coke, I saw that too, meant to put a link on here but forgot. I think we should look at strategic partnerships with other countries for future, bigger grow operations. Think we're way behind the curve personally. Thanks again 🙂

So the last 12 months wasn’t wet enough to make such comparisons so the “experts” decided to move the goal posts to a time frame whereby their statistics suited the agenda.

It has felt ridiculously wet to be honest, especially this last 6 months or so. Praying for some decent weather soon. We only get 3 decent months as it is, and it’s currently still wank!

Farting around corners is more effective in humid weather too, lingers more don’t you think?

Yeah that's it - the "experts" are out to get you. Either that or it's the wettest eighteen months on record. If a football team goes on an 18 month unbeaten run would you whinge that the "experts" should only restrict their stats to what happens in the current season?

Heartbreaking - I love coral reefs and seeing so many of them on the ropes hurts. Fwiw I think ocean temperatures will fall back a bit later this year. Still hotter than normal because of global warming, but no longer record breaking. I should know what I'm talking about, but something weird has been going on the last couple of years so who knows!

Earth is a planet, it’s subject to changing conditions. The world is doing more than ever to do as the climate change enthusiasts say to reverse it. It’s not going to happen. The maps are just another tool to frighten the vulnerable and force them to conform to the ideology that we as humans can do something about Mother Nature. We can’t.

I work on this and we're fucking the climate up for ourselves, especially the future. The media campaign to trick people into thinking it's a hoax etc is a serious scandal. 😞
