Don't remember ELO playing there, they played Bingley Hall in about 77, could be wrong tho. Similarly The Jam, remember them at Viccy Hall but were they a big enough band for Trentham Gardens at that time?

Saw Judas Priest there 1980ish. Totally upstaged by the support act that night, a little known band by the name of Iron Maiden. Wonder what happened to them... ? 😁

I went in there once to see Emperor Roscoe (sp), a DJ off Radio 1 I think, no idea how I got in, think they were short on numbers, I was 14/15 but looked about 12.

I think I saw ELO when they played the heavy steam machine in Hanley Ah one of favourite places as young tearaway Amazing place in its day , never gets a mention on here , it was too big really . It was great at the weekend with a couple of thousand people crammed in but not so good on a Tuesday with 50 folks in . Saw a few decent gigs there . An American blues night stands out in the memory. All these old blues men shuffled on stage and mesmerized us for 2 hours . Lightning slim , homesick James , boogie woogie red were the ones I remember. Saw Elton john there , Susie Quattro , ELO as mentioned. It was a decent music venue
