Nando's is bollocks anyway. "Yeah, we're a restaurant and employ waiting staff but sorry pal, you're going to have to do everything yourself bar cook the mediocre chicken". Those peas they do are proper gay as well. Get a new job mate - fuck those South African chicken shysters right off 👍 For a part time job tho mate I’ll take it, free food and 9 pound an hour And you want a tip, bloody hell!

It's nice to be in the running for this lad. With the last few seasons of madness plaudits have to be given to the manager for making us look like a place where Man City would send one of their hottest prospects. For all his inexperience in league management MON clearly has a skill for developing players who have yet to establish their reputations in the game. I don't think many of previous managers could have even opened this up for discussion, Rory, or no Rory.
Now please god let him sign!

don't eat peas. Gay, straight or non binary processed. Awkward things as well. Folk drop them everywhere in those family pubs. Last thing I want to do is go for my 2 for 1 meal at the Hungry Horse with pea all over the floor. Escape peas… I’ll get my coat And the ones that roll over to seek respite under the other tables are… Refu peas…?

All good strikers need service If it was McClean serving him he’d be waiting way longer than 2:5 minutes for that cross be carved up for him. Nah, it’s be there on time, just delivered 5 tables behind

Everyone taking this development as gospel then? interesting. I personally think there’s too much noise about it to not be true. I can’t speak for anyone else mind.

Balls on the chopping block then…is this happening or not? And if it does, why don’t you think we can provide the service with Powell and Vrancic in the side? Yes, it would appear so. Like I said back in January, Coates Jnr wanted him desperately and it was the one he wanted to get done. Would imagine he remained the number one target for the Chairman from then. Lack of full backs and wide options? Chance creation with or without Delap has to be a worry surely? Question. Is he a Coates Jnr target or a MON. Obviously he seems a great talent, but if he isn’t what MON wants/thinks need the money in other areas are we about to run into problems?

I’m from Leek, and go uni in derby and work at the Nando’s in the intu, Liam Delap came in with a group of mates a few weeks back, I noticed it was him and told him I’ve been a stoke fan since I was a little lad, and said to him ‘you’re coming on loan then yeah?’ and he laughed and winked at me However, he was rude to a mate of mine at work and complained his chicken was 2 and half minutes late, but don’t care as long as he’s bagging for stoke soon come Two and a half minutes late with the chicken!?!? Your mate wants stuffing! 😁 I'll get me coat. 🙄

I’d hope it’s a club decision. And we need a striker. He fits the bill to what we need. He’s potentially world class. If MON isn’t on board then he’s a fool. I can’t think he wouldn’t be.

Was Liam a Stoke fan during his Father's playing time with us? No, he’s a big Vale fan. He hates Stoke City.

Serious question; we’ve had proven goal scorers at the club who weren’t able to perform here because we create next to nothing. How is an 18 year old boy who’s only played in PL2 going to do it? I don’t get the clamour here.
Yes we need a striker, yes he has potential - is that potential going to be realised this year in the championship? I would really hope so, but highly doubt it - it’s not that easy.

Delap is more prolific at U23 kevel than Campbell was so there is every reason to expect that Delap will be at least as prolific an the Championship as Campbell - and that will do me!

I get that logic, but Tyrese was a long term project. No instant pressure, went out on loan for Shrewsbury and played against grown men - Delap would be coming here and expected to hit the ground running, when he's only played against boys in the past. It's a little bit different.

The fans have been having a melt down because apparently they believe we need to get in a young high-profile hungry striker to solve all our issues, - let’s forget Ty C and Brown becoming good and Norton / Varian & Goodwin getting a peep at the bench now and again. Thinks it’s a name that the every(wo)man on this board recognise and have just chosen to romanticise. I look forward to A) seeing if this signing actually pans out B) if it does then seeing his ability in a Stoke shirt.

I've just watched a compilation video of his goals and assists, no doubt the talent is there - my lasting impression however was just how atrocious the defending was. There would definitely be a steep learning curve for him, but our fans are well renowned for being patient and supportive. His Dad will know all about that.

Mental how we’ve actually got fans who would happily turn their noses up at signing one of the best young talents in world football. Brown will never be a regular goal scorer and Varian, Goodwin and Norton all need loans out in the lower leagues. The only way you get goal scorers in this league is to spend a lot of money or take a gamble on youngster from the Premier League. Abraham and Brewster both did very well coming straight into this league from youth football and Delap is much more highly thought of than both of these at this stage in his career.

His head coach/analyst Andy Cousins was a scout at Man City aswell beforehand so we do seen quite well connected up there still. Fact Tyrese & Wright-Phillips have headed to Stoke from Man City also shows we do a good job of developing the youngsters.

There was more excitement when we signed him than this thread. It was like the twilight zone. Dunwoody is playing in the Finnish top flight. He’s a tidy little footballer, hope he eventually gets a league club over here or into a better league somewhere.
