All the dead wood in this squad was signed by previous managers that is a fact with the exception of Bauer, haven't got a clue who signed him, it's irrelevant how much a club paid for a player before he joined us every single club will have signed players and made profits and losses on them. I would say it's relevant, it's a very good warning sign, three times the value and turns out to be horrendous. I'll tell you now no one else would buy him. Anyway this is one player, anyone can make a mistake, unfortunately we have a squad of them, and there's one common factor. The manager's changes yet still the same mistakes. Yes every club makes losses and profits, and once again unfortunately we are in the same category as Sunderland or a Portsmouth and we are so lucky we aren't with them. Yes but that's the point Arnie cost us £2 million and we sold him for £20 mill increasing to £25 mill with add ons. I'd say at the time Imbula,Berrahino,N'dye and so on seemed to be good signings at the time and you Could add Vokes,Ince,Woods to the list, Wimmer was a relatively unknown quantity.

So officially do we actually know what's going on with him? Pete Smith explains it here about 12:30 in. Basically whatever happens we're done with him and he's off the wage bill and he's on the Saudi team's wage bill or A. N Other should he move on - and if he does move on from Saudi Arabia we may be getting another slice of cash

Great that it's not our problem any more. Just a very odd way of going about it but it's done the job, so excellent.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Tone wanted Wimmer at West Brom which might partly explain Hughes' raging hard on for him and why he splurged so much on him.

Meaning Badou wanted to go there but we asked for money and they disappeared? Sounds like it. We had reached an agreement with Badou Ndiaye. However, when it came to Adana Demirspor and Murat Sancak (team president), the fee for the transfer increased. That's why we gave up the transfer.

So we are stuck with him still? No, Sentinel seem pretty certain that he was off our wage bill, for the remainder of his contract, from the minute he went to Saudi Arabia - and, at a minimum, the Saudi team were on the hook for his salary until next summer. But if he left them, we were entitled to at least a percentage of any fee

But Stoke wouldn't veto any move So officially do we actually know what's going on with him? Pete Smith explains it here about 12:30 in. Badou Ndiaye, who is on the agenda of many clubs in the Super League, has signed for Aris, from Greece. The experienced midfielder is currently in Greece.
Looks like he's signing for Aris Thessaloniki who finished 3rd in Greece last season.
Don't know whether this will give us a bit more cash or not?

Either his agent dictates where he plays who he really hates England cos he’s good enough for top champ, bottom half prem. it’s all very weird

He’d have been infinitely better committing himself to us, he’d have Earnt a lot more money in the process too. Can’t see a Greek team coming anything close to the wages we offer.

No he wouldn’t have earned a lot more money here. The Greek team will be paying him a pittance and we’ll be making up the difference, so he’ll be making the full whack on his Stoke contract anyway. That’s why we can’t properly get rid of the bloke.

I think technically he is still contracted to us, the deal maent he'd never return to us and that the Saudi club would see his wages out, however if he left the Saudi club hence they sell him we would then get a chunk of the fee. Not sure if the Saudi club let him go for nothing what happens or if they can let him go for free as technically he is still our player!

www.arisfc.com.gr/index.php/gr/enimerosi/item/5-anakoinoseis/2511-o-papa-alioune-ndiaye-ston-ariPAE ARIS announces the acquisition of the international Senegalese midfielder Papa Alioune Ndiaye. Born on October 27, 1990 in Dakar, Senegal, Papa Alioune Ndiaye, also known as "Badou", signed a three-year contract. After the completion of his transfer, Papa Alioune Ndiaye, stated on the official website of our team: "I come to ARIS with great appetite and impatience to live a special challenge in my career. My goal is one: To help ARIS to develop even more, because in the last three years it has made great strides. I have played in great leagues in my career and what I can say is that -among other things- I will strengthen my new team with my experience. I do not like the big promises, but the ARIS fans should be sure of one thing. They will be happy and proud of me. I will give everything on the field, in every match. Before I came, I got my information about ARIS. I have played in several "hot" stadiums with hot fans, but I believe that what I will experience here will be something different and unique. I watched ARIS games at its headquarters on the internet and I was really impressed. He is "crazy" and his fans live the games with passion. I look forward to living this experience. Together with my teammates I believe that we will achieve great things in the new season and together we will achieve our goals. Finally, I want to thank the president of the team, Mr. Karypidis, but also the fans for their warm welcome. See you on the field… »

Think it’s more of a slur on whoever signed him more than the player/his agent himself as it immediately advertises how deluded he /his agent are as to who he is and also Shows how off the mark we’ve been in recent years with signings over the past few years.
