We can't sell him for £1 million under FFP can we?

Joke of a fee! Badou should either suck up a wage reduction to grease the wheels on the permanent move and be made to come back here. I’d make him slog it out here personally- he’ll need to play out of his skin to get a good bosman deal in 2 years.

We can't sell him for £1 million under FFP can we? Depends if they scrap FFP when the salary cap is introduced. If they do then we have no choice other than jettisoning our higher earners.

Cheer up. €1m is about 9% of what we paid for Ince. 11 Badou’s = 1 Ince.

Assuming there are no other costs like subsides wages or other payments I'll take it. The hit is obviously massive but we've got to guard against the sunk cost fallacy and chasing a better deal.
Not necessary a 'well done' to the team involved in getting this deal but it is 'job done', now Wimmer.

A couple of million plus the wages off the books the next couple of years means we don't take q loss in the accounts for a year doesn't it? Or am I being thick?
If rather keep him though than let him go for less than liam lindsay, classic case of the player dominating in the power struggle with the club

If by pure chance we go up this season we can ask Besiktas how much to buy him back, I’m sure they wouldn’t rip us off

Time to teach this fucking mercenary a good lesson. The nerve of accepting $1 million does not wash with me. He's 29, with two years left on his contract. Instead of trying to recoup the losses, I'd freeze him out completely ... and not even let him train with the reserves, or anyone else for that matter. The only way I would let this fucker go is to make him pay back the club $10 million as a goodbye present. Otherwise let him rot for the next two years. See who wants him then. He ain't exactly that good and it was a mistake buying him in the first place.

Yeah imagine the look on his face when he finds out we’re going to pay his massive wage for two more years to do literally nothing. We’ll see who’s laughing then.

Said this after relegation and he fucked off back to Galatasaray.......Galatasaray took us for a hefty financial ride if you spend one nano second thinking about it. They sell him to us for 14m knowing we were likely to be relegated. He makes it obvious (Leeds game) he’s not interested in 2nd tier footie in england so engineers a loan move back to them for a very successful season. They possibly had to cover his wages or some of it plus a small loan fee. Add Imbula, Wimmer and Berahino ................we really were mugs in the transfer game.

Some suggestion in Turkey now they've abandoned the Badou chase and have moved on to Danny Drinkwater or Mendy from Leicester.
Although the Turkish press do seem to make it up as they go along.

Hasn't Mendy signed a new contract with Leicester this summer? Might be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

Obviously easy with hindsight but why oh why didn’t we try and loan him for six months originally (with a decent fee involved) then put in a purchase option for the end of the season had we stayed up and wanted him?
He’s an ok footballer who has been an absolutely terrible signing.
