Maybe he has worked out the damage that another lockdown would do to people’s livelihoods

Maybe he has worked out the damage that another lockdown would do to people’s livelihoods It is absolutely plausible. I'm sure in the coming days Nigel will be outlining the reason(s) as to why - inkeepimg with the ever popular trend - he has completed a full U-turn on his original position. We will all be able to sit back and enjoy the little grey cells of Britain's favourite xenophobe explaining how he knows better than the SAGE group along with the CSO and CMO. Finally, his contingency for what happens when the capacity of the NHS is met and his economic recovery plan will be intriguing. Personally, I think it will be along the lines of 'believing more' and blame it all on Johnny Foreigner.

For once, you're bob on! It is an obscure footy forum, so absolutely no need for name-calling and abuse, nor following folk around on some weird stalking crusade, nor getting so wound up you need to block people! So next time one of the usual suspects from Left Wing Club is abusive, or Nicholas Allcock goes on one of his weird tangents about evil(!), you'll be sorting out your myopia and having a quick word with them- good to know Bluers. That's all I'm asking for 👍 Enjoy your night 😎 It'll be a lot better for your mental health if you try not to let it get to you as much as it clearly does. There's no need for name calling and abuse, nor following people around the board, endlessly trying to score points, when nobody else gives a shit! If it's easier for you, just block anyone who winds you up and reply to posts that you like the look of. Pretty sure Followyoudown does the same with a fair few non right-wingers whose posts used to get to him too. I'm sure it makes for a much easier posting life!

You'll send a glass eye to sleep fella 😴 Another hypocrisy (quite a list stacking up) committed by your good self seems to be you telling people to continue personal vendettas via PM but when I've offered that as an option here (and before) you keep plugging away boring the rest of us. Seriously, drop me a PM and spare everyone else. Fair play for continuing to show yourself up as an intolerable bore that no one (right or left) pays much heed to though- at least I acknowledge some of your posts 😆 Who's following who now by the way? Who cares, it's a public forum. If I pick you up on something and I'm wrong, reply back and blow me out of the water (something more substantial than your usual paranoid ramblings would be appreciated though). That's what messageboards are for mate. You're in esteemed company Bluers. I've only blocked a handful of people- you're alongside such alumni as Crappy, eebygum and one or two of those other contrived characters that used to pop up from time to time. So it's certainly not a left wing thing- more of a 'tedious, unpleasant tosspot who offers nothing constructive to the board' thing. Don't think that you're tedious? Exhibit A: this thread 😂 You keep referencing me blocking you (no doubt another one of your obsessions that you'll bring up ad infinitum) and it seems as though I've sneeped you. I do apologise 😊 Maybe stop being such a one-eyed hypocrite- and show a bit less misplaced arrogance in your dealings with people- and I'll review the matter in the future? Seems fair to me.

Love him or loathe him, the most influential politician of our lifetime. Single handedly delivered the biggest democratic vote in British history from a stand still position.
Stunning stuff from the great man and may he have a long lasting, successful career on GB News to further anger the militant left and the woke mob 😃

You can't blame the fella really, losing 7 times on the bounce over a 20 year period can't be very encouraging.

He single handedly took one of the world's most powerful nations out of the most bureaucratic institution on the planet, in doing so producing the most stunning referendum result in European history. Not quite sure id associate Farage with defeat but hey.

I think a few people may also associate him with Donald Trump given his fawning over the 'great man' last year.

He stood for minnow parties whose sole intention was to put pressure on the incumbent government to act as he wanted them too. He achieved exactly that, notably in 2015 (Ukip took the 3rd largest number of votes, completely unheard of for a minnow party) and of course last December where he forced the Tories into the "get Brexit done slogan", even agreeing with Boris not to stand in Tory seats. Job done. And what a job he's done.

Wonder how long it will be before the grift meister returns?
Whilst I personally find the man utterly repulsive he has made an impression politically.
The ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing. A lifetime right wing xenophobe he managed to tap in to large swathes of Northern Labour voters with lies, false promises and the creation of non-existent enemies. (See fishermen and his 'Komplette Stille')
I've seen a speech he delivered against the EU commission years ago where he correctly called out the cronyism but instead of doing the hard thing and using his position to push for change he always took the easy option of wanting to take his ball home.
Aligning himself to a pound shop fascist President, an open racist in Banon and using some of the world's most desperate in his poverty porn videos he has carved out a niche in his later years that will keep him employed for plenty of years to come yet.

I thought he'd completely misjudged the political reform thing and pursuit of PR. Populists don't give a shit about that stuff anywhere near the amount they get triggered by the whole "woke", "cancel culture", "lamestream media" nonsense. This is much more likely to keep him in fags and ale for the foreseeable. Sensible move for someone with a need to occupy a spotlight.

I see Laurence Fox has launched his campaign for London mayor on an anti-woke ticket. Good luck with that!
All this will do is split the anti-Khan vote in precisely the same way that the non-Tory vote is split nationally.
I had to laugh at his column in today's Sunday Telegraph, first couple of paras all about the war! Then goes on about patriotism, how great the royals are, with a final dig at Greta Thunberg. I think he's pretty much ticked all the populist boxes there which will no doubt play well with the usual dog whistle crowd, but, jesus, it's so whiney!

If his politics are as wooden as his acting then I can't see him getting too many people excited. There are a few ITV 2-hour 'dramas' which guarantee I will nod-off half way through , but Lewis , for all Kevin Whateley's efforts is as good as any sleeping draught you will find .

It’s a shallow pool mind. 100%. He's a great great guy. *said in Donald Trump accent*. His successor Tice, while not as entertaining, is an outstanding successor too. Outside of my bias as a fan of the Reform Party, I'd love to hear someone try and argue how either Boris, Starmer, Sturgeon or Ed Davey are more competent than Tice. He's hugely underrated and would make an exceptional leader. Calm, measured, intelligent, successful in business and reasoned. What's not to like? Everything our current leaders aren't. They can't even agree on whether women have a fucking cervix let alone run a country.

If he’s got half the charisma of Big Nige he will go on to much bigger things just like the Boss😉
