Seems to be his international switch not going through that's the problem, rather than him being dropped as such

Imbula could be a player for us here imo.
Imbula/Etebo would work.

I’m not sure there’s a player I dislike more than Imbula.
The bloke could be brilliant if he wanted to be but he chooses not to be. Absolute waste.

He's not the only one who thinks he's too good for us, he has ability but lacks application. At some point he will have to alter his attitude or risk oblivion. Big if but if he could buckle down and try he would be an asset rather than a liability. Thing is there are a few in that category! If only they would try we would be a hell of a side.

Most on here were more bothered about him not lasting a season before he was getting snapped up by top 6 club. What a waste and a shame.

Imbula could be a player for us here imo. Imbula/Etebo would work. I would rather us play the kids and lose with heart than see that petulant twat pull on the red and white again. He and Berahino are the embodiment of our decline, neither deserve to be associated with Stoke City or the fans that pay good money to watch every week.

There are so many players in world football that are useless with their weaker foot, so why does Imbula get singled out for it?.. it's a bit odd. Probably because we decided to spend 18 million quid on a bloke whose good foot is wank as well. To be fair his feet are excellent compared to his personality: Bone-idle-Mr-Charlie-Big-Potatoes-no-commitment-effort-or-gumption Other than that I think he'd be a Stirling asset to Seria A.....aha ha ha ha 😁

Ndiaye doesn't have the skills Imbula does and did, in the Premier League, put a shift in. Jese was also talented and more of a tosser but no player, not even Kenwynne, put as little in as Imbula. Utter waste.

Thing is though, get him playing and he will be a massive asset. Has he really ran out of chances like Bera? Well yeah, of course he's had chances, he would stroll around the pitch half arsed when we were competing in the Prem against Utd, Chelsea & Liverpool, he hasn't performed at Toulouse or Vallencano in Ligue 1 and La Liga respectively, why is he suddenly going to turn around his form and character against the likes of Barnsley, Luton and Bristol City? But the overwhelming factor is his attitude. In his own words Jones has described the team he wants to build as beautiful, hard working, human beings who would be willing to literally die for SCFC. In what world does any of that describe Giannelli Imbula? The man who (according to Charlie Adam) never bothered attempting to learn English, would barely speak to his teammates in training and walked off of the pitch during a game in preseason having a strop. There's no doubt there's a gem of a player hiding in there, but it will never come out here, or probably ever. The bloke thinks he's Patrick Viera and no doubt that he's too good to break sweat in the English second division, fuck him.

He needs insane amounts of micro-man-management, I think that much was obvious when Sparky was manager. From what I can see you basically have to tell him he's Paul Pogba every week. That's how some players are. Him and Etebo would destroy most, if not all, Championship midfields. Imagine adding Badou to that as well! They are all Stoke City players by contract. If we want to go up we may well need them firing again.

Yes he's a talented footballer, but none of that means a thing without hard work and application. We have no time or space for petulant characters in the squad who have to be insanely micro-managed and that's certainly not the squad Jones is trying to build. Are you seriously saying you're happy to pay your hard earned money to watch this bloke throw strops at Charlton away when things aren't going his way? It's all irrelevant anyway, he's done here. EDIT: And Badou doesn't want to be here anyway, he's literally said he's too good to play in this division. Why on earth do you want people with that attitude in the dressing room? His performance against Leeds made it abundantly clear he couldn't care less about SCFC.

His performance against Leeds made it abundantly clear he couldn't care less about SCFC. Agree with your points about attitude. There's been more than enough let down from players at the club in recent seasons and it's not good. Getting out of this division is the ultimate aim and all of the players at our disposal, with FFP looming, should be considered. We've got a fairly large group of players that could easily walk out in the Premiership every Saturday and whilst they are still here and we still have odds in our favour (parachutes etc) then I reckon we use them. Part and parcel of coaching any football team now is emphasis on micro-man-management, so if our staff aren't doing that or we don't employ a psych to do it for them then I don't know what to say. Badou will play wherever he's told he will play - his agent is the one making noise. See N'Zonzi's Dad.

and most amazingly of all -- the people who brought him to our club (or at least some of them )
are still in post ?
