Butland obviously.
With mentions for Edwards, Batth.
Everyone else that has started more than a few games should be disappointed with themselves.

Butland by a million miles. I posted elsewhere that I truly believe we could have been relegated without him. He will be missed if he goes so it would be a fitting tribute With nobody replacing him, so just an open goal? I agree. With any other average Championship keeper in goal I think we’d be about in the same position. They might even save the odd free-kick too so we could be higher. I don’t think Butland has done a great deal this season has he? We’ve hardly had our goal peppered in any game and have still been on the end of some spankings, I can remember the odd decent save but you get that with any keeper. Distribution has been noticeably shit. Average Championship quality season.

I would go for Butland Amongst the most productive outfield players have been McClean and Ince McClean 3 goals and 6 assists in 30 starts Ince 6 goals 6 assists in 34 starts. Etebo has only 1 assist in 27 games and Allen has 6 but that is in 44 games. 1. Butland 2. Baath 3. Edwards According to the Telegraph fantasy football, Ince has 8 assists McClean 7 Allen/Clucas 4 each That sounds about right to me.

Everyone apart (apart from Edwards, Verlinden, Collins) has underperformed and contributed to a very disappointing season.

Everyone apart (apart from Edwards, Verlinden, Collins) has underperformed and contributed to a very disappointing season. Yeah. Hard to disagree with that. Butland has had a consistently decent season - and I think that's probably enough to deserve it over Allen, who is the only other player who's in the running over the 9 months Nobody else has really come close over the course of 44 games. Etebo has really looked the part in the odd game, and is definitely trending in the right direction, as is Edwards who is really improving - and Batth has had a good 14-15 games. But you can't make any of those 3 player of the season based on that IMO. www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/7/Seasons/7379/Stages/16389/PlayerStatistics/England-Championship-2018-2019In terms of assists, we haven't got anyone in the top 30 according to this (Ince and McClean both with 6) And no-one in the top 30 for goals either. An absolute embarrassment.

Butland, Allen, Etebo.
Anyone of those three would be worth it.

Average Championship quality season. your right about his kicking, that hasn't been great but I don't think that has cost us He has made some exceptional saves though, the trouble is I'm getting too old to remember who they were against. Rotherham the other week he pulled off a world class save to deny a header and I'm quite sure he pulled off some fine saves in many other games too

Has to be Edwards. For his confidence and because he’s visually improved where the rest have visually regressed in to Sunday league players.

Think that's the right call Yeah, but no competition really. Says it all really that our player of the year won't be playing for us next season.

Etebo for an outfield player for me, think he's going to be massive for us if we manage to keep him.

Etebo for an outfield player for me, think he's going to be massive for us if we manage to keep him. Still early days but considering its his 1st season in England I'm impressed with him. He's got all the attributes to be successful here. He needs to learn when to release the ball earlier rather than run into trouble and his passing let's him down a bit but I'm sure it'll come good

Yes, his passing can be hit and miss but his energy and driving runs cause the opposition so many problems. Stick a proper ball playing midfielder next to him and we'd be sorted.

They presented Butland with a trophy - I'm assuming it was for player of the season, on the pitch after the lap of appreciation when most people had gone home.
