Even The Mighty Maggie wasn’t as despised as much by so many.

Maggie was fantastic and rescued a dying country. In times of world recession our position improved dramatically. But sadly in times of plenty (worldwide) the stubby fingered Mr Bean has fucked us right up! Almost every developed country has grown at a far greater rate,
Brown like most Labour plonkers reward hard work and enterprise with a scandalous and frankly irresponsible tax burden. Whilst rewarding fat arsed lazy good for nothing lay abouts with all the hand outs they want! These wishy washy |Labour pricks think thats all well and cool but generally cos they ARE the fat arsed lazy good for nothing lay abouts.
Gordon the Clown was a one trick pony and time has shown his 'strong hand' was actually a crock of crap too! I wouldn't trust him to run my finances for five minutes. The worst chancellor in living memory is now the worst 'leader' ever.

I don't know about The most hated, remember all the problems of the 70s ? 3 day week, power cuts etc., but he is pretty unpopular. What I dislike about him and his predecessor was the “cozy” way they decided that when good old Tony stepped down his old chum Gordon would take over... erm forgive me for being a bit thick but don't the people of the country decide who is elected Prime Minister? If Blair did not want to serve his complete term as PM then an election should have been called. Typical “old palls act” Besides that, he looks very shifty to me.

Brown, I think, is more despised, scorned and pitied than hated for what is seen - rightly - as his general incompetence.
My own view is that he's got some way before he's hated as much as both Thatcher - poll tax for example - and Blair - being Bush's puppet in an illegal war for example - were. A better comparison I think is with John Major.

Maggie was magnificent, those who disliked her were a small minority. Brown is a fumbling buffoon. As for "blaming him for things that are out of his control" I suppose you mean like the obscene amount he takes from every litre of fuel or the obscene amount he wants to retrospectively hike up road tax, oh and what about the plundering of our pensions? I suppose he isn't to blame for that either

And obviously with such a huge majority of the poulation hating her she still got to be re-elected and was only forced out of office after 11 years by her backstabbing colleagues

I appreciate you have an opinion about Maggie, IMO she was hated by a lot of people but they were a minority a very vocal minority but a minority all the same. Gordon Clown is not just despised by millions but as I have already said he is a pension stealing car hating high taxing fumbling buffoon.

I don't think it was that small a minority who hated her either.
And she was voted in by a minority too, as a result of our electoral system. Don't think the Tories ever came close to getting over 50% of the vote did they?

Arachnidman - It seems to me that Gordon Brown is seen as a bit of a Mr. Bean character - a fumbling buffoon in your own words - and that seem fairly accurate to me. He doesn't seem to attract, however, the same level of intense antipathy that both Thatcher and Blair received - quite justifiably in both cases in my view - nor the same level of devotion from their devotees.

I've just watched Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain on the box and it struck me how PM's need a benign world economy to be seen as effective. Contrast Thatcher and Blair's times in office with Brown, Heath and Wilson for example.

Well said Red 5, so much for a democracy eh! Wonder who would have gotten in if they had put him forward in a general election once Tony stepped down. I despise Labour with a passion to be honest however Cameron is not ready for leadership of the country yet and as there is no other party even close to the Man Utd and Chelsea of the hopuse we are stuck with them until we stop voting blindly.

How could anyone hate her? She is, the Boudicca of modern Britain. To me she is, what Nicole Kidman is to Mr Sausage. I love you Maggie and i'd vote for you again too because you're a ruddy good bird
