The Black metal scene in Norway was mental. No satanism for shock value or wannabe gangster rap, these guys really lived it;murder, torture, church burnings, insanity. There was actually some good music especially the bands like Emperor. They seem from the trailer to be positioning Varg Vikernes as the principle bad egg. The guy might be a neopagan nutter but to be fair, I quite like the Burzum albums Made some interesting synth albums whilst serving his murder conviction. It's very niche music mind and about as far from mainstream as it gets.
Yes I'll look into the Netflix thing, I really want to see the Crue movie.
I've often thought I'd like to see a This Is England style coming of age movie only from a background of the late 70s/early 80s new wave of British heavy metal. There was enough folks into it for sure.

Definitely going to watch that Motley Crue one!!!! Looks fucking mint. Does, doesn't it. Still best band I've seen and the hardest rocking - and I've seen likes of Megadeth and Anthrax. Very tight, Tommy Lee amazing drummer. For me, I was quite happy to be listening to Crue one minute and Metallica the next. It was only the likes of Poison that were too glam for me. Have a bit of Crue😁😁

It's one of the best produced albums EVER... the way the bass drum cuts through the mix like an absolute thud rather than the shit you normally hear. What's more, we're 30 odd years on and I'm still yet to hear one sound cleaner and more tight. The band were at their peak at that point, despite fucking hating each other.

No snobbery from me bud😁 Dr Feelgood sounds amazing (there's quite a bit of filler as on Girls Girls Girls) and it's no coincidence that Metallica went with Bob Rock for the Black album. Bob Rock also produced The Cults Sonic Temple. All 3 albums sounded amazing. I haven't heard many records in the past decade that have as good a drum and bass tone as those. Most modern metal all sounds the same production wise. You'll like this...
