I was very saddened to learn yesterday that Mary passed away on Thursday. Roger and Mary never missed a game, home and away, and always attended Supporters Club dinners, meet the players evenings etc etc. A lovely lady and I find it difficult to believe we won't be bumping into her again at grounds all round the country or Euston station as my daughter and I sometimes did when we played in London. Deepest condolences to Roger and the family. There have been too many sad events for Stokies recently. RIP Mary.

Tragic news. A lovely lady, from a quality family of loyal city supporters ( a word used very loosely of late ). Rest in peace Mary and massive condolences to Roger, Dave and the family. One true supporter less, watching from heaven

Had the pleasure of knowing Mary & Roger through football and seeing them at the matches home & away and even following them over Europe. She will be sadly missed and I send my condolences to Roger and family x

My son and I were so saddened to hear the news last Saturday at Ipswich. We chatted to Roger and Mary at almost every away match and she was a lovely lady. We shall miss her. Our thoughts are with Roger, the family and friends.

A lovely lady and one I knew from the small town where I spent my childhood and my parents still live there -dear old Eccleshall. I know Mary's son Dave well, and Roger and Mary would always say 'hello' to me when I used to travel away a lot more than I do now. Condolences to Roger, Dave and family.

I grew up next door to Mary in Eccleshall, knowing her as Auntie Mary - my own girls still know her as that. They were the best neighbours anyone could have and Mary Roger, Dave and Ian were Stoke through and through. Even in her recent ill health she'd make the trip to the Bet365 and it's only very recently she became unable to travel to away matches. There's a massive hole in the the Stoke family with her gone but I'm sure she'll be catching up with Banksy, Warey and the others, wherever they've all ended up.
