The Pele save is rightly world famous but my favourite is still the Hurst penalty, people of my era were able to watch the world's best keeper in our team!! Thank you and RIP Banksie

Saw him play for virtually all of his career with us. I remember being devastated when I heard about his car accident after the Liverpool game. To have the best player in his position in the world playing at little Soke was remarkable and sadly will never be repeated.
To think that Waddo signed him for just £52,000. Whilst there is no doubting Gordon’s ability what impressed me just as much was his loyalty.
R.I.P. Gordon and thank you so much for the memories 😭

As well as the greatest keeper, Gordon was a wonderful human being who knew how to conduct himself and respect others.
We can and must all learn something about humanity from Gordon Banks...RIP x

RIP Gordon. I watched England win the World Cup in 1966 and then the world's best goalkeeper signed for my club and then won a trophy. Spotting Gordon was guaranteed to put a smile on my face. The fact that he was a genuinely likeable bloke is the icing on the cake.

Condolences to family and friends at this very sad time. There are maybe some players at our beloved Club who never knew what a true football hero they had in their midst. If that was the case they will be left in no uncertain terms now. To those who have possibly lacked inspiration or determination or desire to put Stoke City FC back where we want to be look no further than this TRUE legend of the game. Rest In Peace Mr Banks.

RIP Gordon - Although I was lucky enough to meet you, I never saw you play. However, my dad and brother did and regularly talk of the worlds best ever goalkeeper. You were a true gentleman Gordon and a wonderful ambassador for Stoke City Football Club.
