Hiya, My cousin’s band are one of the final two contestants of a national competition known as 'One Last Dream' on Virgin Radio. The winners will open for Eric Clapton in Hyde Park at the end of June. Paul's family originate from the Potteries, his Mum was a nurse who grew up at the Black Boy public house in Cobridge and his Grandad was Billy Briscoe, ex-Stoke and Port Vale footballer. I wondered if the Sentinel readers wanted to hear about Paul's adventure, his band are called Daniel Takes A Train (80's influenced, Spandau, Duran, Smiths, etc.) All the details of the 'One Last Chance' competition can be found on the Virgin Radio website at www.virginradio.co.uk/music/one_last_dream/index.htmlThe two remaining bands will be asked to record items and the final phone-in vote is scheduled for next Friday, 6th June - please vote !! |
