Totally agree. I think most Stoke fans, including me, thought we would be in with a great chance of promotion this season. We soon found out that wasn't the case though. However, in NJ we have a different approach to our footballing philosophy. It's actually a bold statement by the clubs owners. I think they think they have their man now and will stick with NJ for at least 18 months whatever happens. We should all just get behind NJ now and hold on for the ride (instead of hoping for miracles and instant success). His record at Luton should earn him our respect, at least for the foreseeable future. I think he is starting out as he means to go on and if that means defeats and clinging on to Championship status then so be it. We have to rebuild, we have to be patient, we have to support the manager and hopefully good things will come. 100% Finishing position in the Championship counts for nothing, financially and in terms of player attraction. Sacrifice now could pay dividends in the future. This season is over and it's nothing more than a chance for Jonah to see which players he can utilise in the future and where he needs to make a change. Genuinely, I can't see many players here currently that will be starting for us come August. I hope the fans give him a chance but the early signs indicate otherwise... "Early signs" do Ricky but I honestly don't think it will sway the owners one jot. I think they have set their stall out now with this appointment.

I think he won’t this bag of shit club on his CV for long, for the life of me why oh why do our managers always say how good “the family” are, snigger, when they actually aren’t.
I’d rather have facts rather than a smoke scene.

I couldn't sleep last night, so I was just lying in bed looking at the ceiling thinking about Stoke, because I'm a sad bastard. I was thinking about the mess we've gotten ourselves into, and how to get out of it and out of nowhere I just thought - I bet NJ is up doing exactly the same thing. He just strikes me as that kind of guy, after listening to interviews etc I just get the impression that he will be undeniable in the pursuit of his goals. For some reason, I didn't get that feeling with GR. I just have a hunch we're onto something good here, given the backing of the board and the fans - I think we can really build something here and see some really good football. It's going to be a long ride, but I feel we've got the right man at the wheel. You sad bastard 😎

Looks like Bielsa is a fan. Given he's watched 66,000 Luton games on video I might take his views a bit more seriously than normal!
“Head coaches express themselves through the games of their teams. You have head coaches who give traditional answers with common things not new things and you have inventive head coaches and I think he is a head coach that has creation. He is not a traditional head coach.”

If you ignore the politics of Stoke City football club ( Scholes, carto jc), then he is a bright young coach, who could do well.
If you think it's unwise to ignore the politics of Stoke City football club... We need a big character in the mould of Harry redknapp or Steve Evans ( not literally them) who is going to ship a load of players out and a ship a load in. No matter whether the board want to highlight to the fans how much money they have wasted on poor players, or not.
There is an argument a proper wheeler dealer has a better than 50 per cent chance of changing things for the better at Stoke. because the quality of the players is below what you would expect, for a club with the financial clout of Stoke City

I also get the impression he has a very high work ethic. One thing I find interesting is that any time anyone talked about Hughes, Rowett or Lambert they were a "manager" when other people who have worked with him have spoken about him they refer to him as a "coach"...I know it could be used interchangeably but and using the word "coach" is a bit more modern but just something I've noticed Who did you hear it from? Good. They haven't had enough of it imo. SGS He was yelling at them the whole game as well. I don’t think he’ll take any of this bollocks for long - he seems to have a really high work ethic and I imagine he’ll expect the same from them. He looked a bit mental on the touchline tbh! And I don’t think Paul Hart will either!

Comes across well in interviews. Looks focused and seems to have a plan For that alone he deserves a bloody good stab at the job.

First impressions?
- Ambitious - Talks of playing winning football - Will happily to keep changing things in pursuit of perfection... - ...will make inevitable (and frustrating) mistakes as he does so - Impatient - Driven
Of course there is the flipside to all of those coins. You can see the above as all positive things, but I can imagine other fans will view those same traits as:
- Unjustifiably arrogant - All mouth and no trousers - Not correctly using the resources available to him... - ...which shows he doesn't know what he's doing - Not here for the long-term - Myopic
