What a turnaround, fantastic last 30 mins, so much character. Let’s hope so

We were a different team after they scored. Perhaps we have too many players on the pitch with 11

Best performance of the season. Even looked threatening with 10 men.

Everyone played there part. No weak links tonight. Even Martina was excellent. Williams quite rightly MOM outstanding.

He does have players fighting for the shirt again. And we were more threatening going forward. Joe Allen and Woods were pushing further upfield to start attacks and feed the wingers.
It is a slow moving juggernaut but we are improving under Rowett.
There is still a big gap to close though
Thumbs up to the players and manager for tonight

Trying not too, because no basis for it, but I got massive Man City 09 vibes from that, brilliant. By no basis i mean that it was obviously differennt circumtances, not that we can’t go on a run now.

Sam Clucas is fast becoming my favourite player. His vision is way better than most around him with the strength to match. When he's able to do 90 minutes he's a shoo in for that midfield.

You obviously can't say it is "season defining" until the season is over!
But we can hope it proves to be a turning point.

Let’s follow it up with a couple of wins against Reading and Ipswich and we’re good to go......

Clucas was fantastic.
Berahino was fantastic
Williams was fantastic
Allen was fantastic
Martina was fantastic
Pieters was fantastic
Ince was fantastic
Woods was fantastic
As a team performance goes it was superb.
It simply has to be season defining, we need to go to Reading get 3 points and beat Ipswich in our next home game, then over Christmas, anything can happen.

Excellent, battling, gritty, gripping performance.
Let’s remember though that that’s exactly what this squad is designed to do, scrap and compete in tight games against the big sides where they have all the ball.
The problem is it’s not set up to break down teams who come to do the same thing to us...and there’s an awful lot of those teams in this league.

That’s the type of performance/result you want going into December.
If we can get in from going into December then you have every chance of doing something in this league.
GET IN

I agree with all of that, but maybe Clucas will make a difference, he seemed a constant threat all night and looks good going forward.

Ten points from the four games before Xmas is entirely feasible (Reading W Ipswich W Villa D Millwall W) if we can use the momentum from tonight plus our increasing knack of not losing games.

Everyone looked good except for Ryan. Presumably you are leaving it up to each of us to decide which Ryan to criticise? I like that - it is nicely vague - a bit like Corbyn's policy on Brexit!

Best performance and result tonight, all things considered.Like Stoke of old.I was ready to finally condemn Rowatt when I saw that Bojan was not even on the subs bench but fair play, at least we know that the players are behind him.Hopefully this is the game that turns our season. Onwards and hopefully Upwards. GGGOOAAARRRNNN STOKE.

It was a gritty, blood and thunder performance.
All tonight showed was that, at long, long, long last, we look like we've got a set of balls between us and that we've finally put in a "Championship" rather than "Failed Premier League" performance.
It's not worth getting the ticker tape out for.
There's a long way to go yet and a lot of occasions in which they will have to repeat that. After so many false dawns already this season, let's try to contain the semen until we put a run together, please.
Very happy we won but let's look at it in the context of what we've already seen, please.
