Had my xbox since release and never had a single problem PS3 is still way off worth the money PS not short of a couple of quid but as far as I can see my xbox does everything the PS3 has (excluding Grand Turismo) and if Blu-Ray is your justification

are you using the original cable with the switch on it from HD to TV?
happened to me a few times - nothing but a blank screen but Xbox on.
Probably not this but worth a go jo.

shiny, xbox 360 ring of death is infamous - you are very lucky if you have not had the RROD or scratching of discs
With the blue ray feature of the PS3, it is a very attractive proposition for me whilst I sit next to a Xbox 360 with RROD - I'm just glad I have not renewed for another 12 months of xbox live

I haven't had RROD or scratching of discs BUT my console sometimes doesn't accept Xbox live at all even though test connection says that it is all confirmed/connected and the NAT settings are open!!
I leave it for three+ days and plug it back in and it works!!
Means i have to play it for a long time when I do go on it!

That's a problem I have too miniman
It's an easy fix for me as my BT Homehub has a little light on it which illuminates when the connection is made so I just keep unplugging then re-attaching the ethernet cable until it lights up, when the live connection does drop out I find doing this 3 or 4 times brings back the connection

Used to just unplug, re-connect it all and restart and it worked... now it seems to be alreet for now and just does as it's told!!!
