Good on them. Wish we had the right to protest on the same level has our Auzzie brothers Heard in an interview the protesters saying "we don't want them here turning it into their own, they are welcome if they intergrate we have seen what they have done in places like Britain" ;D

Yeah Muslims should integrate in just like the Aussie white fellas did with the Aboriginal peoples. The protesters might even enjoy being hunted down, kicked out of their homes and losing "their" country.

The protesters might even enjoy being hunted down, kicked out of their homes and losing "their" country. The loudest cheers of the night greeted a speech from a local man in his late 70s, according to the BBC's Nick Bryant. "Can I just say this without being racist or political?" the man said. "In 1983, in the streets of London, a parade by Muslims chanted incessantly 'If we can take London, we can take the world'. Don't let them take Camden." The Aboriginals (who also were protesting) are far better off under an Australian state than a Muslim state. Your right though 'intergration' is a key word here funny that

So that you don't all get a one sided view of this piece of news, the Camden School agenda has been leapt upon by fundamentalists from each side. I have a close friend who lives in Camden who has been vocal in his support for the people trying to build the school - not because he particularly needs an Islamic school in his neighbourhood but because he knows that if this was an Anglican, Jewish or Catholic School ( as many of them here are) it wouldn't have even made the local paper. They aren't all ululating ragheads, you know. Ask Mama.

Fair play, however they do not do themselves any favours by refusing to speak just makes them look even more non-caring of the local peoples feelings. Would be triffic if S-O-T Council wore the same pair of bollocks in respect of Stoke's new dome to be built for the few. Majority rule in Australia and good luck to them shame our own coward of a Council doesn't look after its majority. We should come to some sort of agreement. For every Mosque built in the UK we are allowed to build a Church in they're country or should i say place of origin, i cannot see it working some how can you? I salute the people of Camden for sticking up for their beliefs ;D

This would only be laudable if they also rejected every other religious school. Indoctrination is unacceptable whether Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindhu etc. etc.

Just to throw a few spanners into the works:
There are quite a few anglican churches in Pakistan (I believe Yousef Youhanna used to frequent them before he converted).
As for the proposed dome in Stoke, I'll bet it will get far more punters there than the churches in the area.
Anyway back to topic - personally I think the Aussies are bang on not to allow Muslim schools in their country. The only religion in any schools (CofE, Catholic, whatever) should be in the syllabus of RE, and no further. If folks want their kids to learn about the ways of Jesus/Allah/Skywalker, they should go to specialist out of hours schools, normally open on Sundays...
