Before I google has anyone got any tips on how to clean a PS2? I'm quite comfortable getting my screwdrivers out and opening it up.
I keep getting "disc read" errors and I bought it in 2002 so it's getting on a bit now.
The DVDs and game discs are immaculate so I'm presuming there's a fair bit of dirt in the PS2.
Any (sensible) tips?
Karma for good suggestions.

i had to change my ps2 every 2 years, it might not be a case of needing cleaning, the lazer goes after 2 years normally, you have done well to get 5

Buy a lense cleaning disc it's a CD with some little bristles (costs about a fiver) and it gives it a dusting should be okay after that unless it's bost!
