Cop out. How have we failed?! Push us forward?! So, your new manager that you can't name is definitely going to turn us from Semi Finalists to winners?!... Chill out enjoy the sun , it’s just an opinion , it’s called a fans forum , I’m sure a lot on here don’t agree with the shit you spout on about but that’s your opinion I'm very chilled, I've just had a nap actually. Btw, nice attempt at changing the subject without answering the questions again, are you a politician? I don't chat shit either, nothing but straight up gold comes from me.

I’m not paid to make that decision , but we’re fsiled and we need a new man at the helm to push us forward Cop out. How have we failed?! Push us forward?! So, your new manager that you can't name is definitely going to turn us from Semi Finalists to winners?!... Perhaps the new manager that he wants could sign Hazard, De Bruyne, Ronaldo and Bale and take us to that next level?

You have answered your own question, Bosy. We don't have the players. Croatia finally showed us up, for what we are. Under achiever's. When it matter's, we get beaten. Nothing changes IMHO. It is just my opinion, by the way. Harry Kane, just for one. What a waste of space, when it came down to it. I like the bloke, but he was less than useless in the last couple of games. My only hope now, is that France don't win it, but as I'm on a bad run luck wise, no doubt they will. As for all this bull about us winning the World Cup in four year's, the other teams will have moved on. Not saying you said that, but the pundit's seem to think so. All bollocks in my honest opinion, for what it's worth!

The second half performance was perhaps the best football we played at this tournament.
We pegged them back and put them under pressure, creating a couple of chances that we should have put away.
They picked us off though. Belgium were the best team at this world cup tobe honest

Can't believe some of the negative piss being spouted on this thread.
We are what we are- a second-tier nation below the likes of Belgium, Brazil and France, and yet with an inexperienced squad, we got as far as we've got since 1990. I think that's a real achievement, even with a lucky draw.
We got past two nations that are on a similar level to ourselves (Colombia and Sweden), lost to another (Croatia) who were just better on the day, beat the two nations you'd expect us to beat and lost to the one real quality side we faced. It's a decent return for a country like us who've failed time and time again to get beyond the last 16 in recent years.
The signs are good for a decent Euros campaign in two years time. We're unlikely to win it, we're not good enough, but get to the semis again and we'll have done well.

We have had a great tournament, we are in early stages of transition and have top players coming through. Mason Mount, Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden and Ryan Sessegnon, plus others.

The thing is mate when it comes to the England team there is often a lot of confusion over the way everything is perceived. People can contradict themselves in one sentence. On this mb there's the extra angle where some people think they look more of a Stokie if they say they aren't arsed about England.

Perhaps the new manager that he wants could sign Hazard, De Bruyne, Ronaldo and Bale and take us to that next level? Oooooh your been very childish now 😜 Not really. I just don't get all the slagging off of the England team. We've just had our best tournament for 30 years and people are still ripping them to pieces. Southgate has been telling everyone from day one that we are a massive work in progress and that this group of players is pretty far from the finished article yet folk are still sitting there waiting to pounce as soon as we lose a game to a superior football team. Regardless of who we have played this World Cup has to go down as a success for our team doesn't it? Forget who we've played to get to the semis, getting there can only be a good thing for the players concerned and hopefully they have learned shit loads about how tournament football works at the very highest level, which can only do them all good going forward. We are severely lacking in World Class footballers to probably be able to win something with this group but what Southgate has done is instill something which all teams need regardless of the quality of the personal, and that's team spirit, add this to the fact that they all buy into the system that he's implemented and surely all England fans can appreciate what we've achieved at this tournament? We are all football fans and most of us being born in England we have no choice but to be England fans, I get that some will be more into the national side than others but I really don't get this continual slagging off of all things England when they are our team.

Quite rightly the players/manager are getting plaudits for their efforts in this World Cup but when you think we’ve only beat Tunisia,Panama and Sweden in 7 games it’s not exactly earth shattering is it As in our cup final run ? Man City, Bolton and West Ham were very much on a par or much better than Stoke in that cup run. Tunisia, Panama, Sweden,Columbia and Croatia were all ranked below England. We played OK in the World Cup - nothing more, nothing less. We beat no one ranked above us, lost to Croatia who were ranked below us, drew with Columbia and stumbled past Tunisia. I would argue that Stoke’s cup final season represented better progress relatively than England’s run to the semi Final. Won 5, lost 1 compared to England’s won 4 (one on pens), lost 3.

No offence, but that line is getting a bit tiresome. This England side and the manager have got me back on board, but the last 2 games we've poor. We still look pretty clueless in open play.

We still look pretty clueless in open play. It's the lack of movement we had in the first half. You can't pass the ball to Harry Kane when he's standing still with two defenders on him, same went for the rest of them, that's why our midfield stop and then with no forward options go backwards. Second half we had movement and pace down the right side, made us look much better and put a quality team under severe pressure. If and it's a big if the finishing had been better we could have stolen the match. I say stolen as overall they were the better team in my opinion. Until we stop coaching diving and start coaching dribbling, control, finishing and most importantly movement off the ball we will fare no better especially when the ref doesn't give soft free kicks for falling over as he didn't again today. We lost the ball sooooooo easily allowing them to break on us time and again.

I was just using a comparison for those who dismiss England’s achievement yet praise our cup final run in which we only got to the final because we avoided the Manchester clubs in the SF .....the similarities are exactly the same

The England squad have re-connected to the fans for me, this should be continued by England playing their games all over the country.
Sell Wembley off, invest in grassroots - let people up and down get to see England.
The atmosphere at Elland Road before the World Cup was brilliant.

We get way too giddy. The Scottish, Irish and Welsh will tell you that too. We're shite. We’re not shite mate at all but we’re nowhere near as good as some folk think imo It reminds me of NewYears Eve when every cnut & his/her dog descends on the pub, clogging up the bar in a state of false jollity & ultimately ending in an anticlimax. It’s because of Italia 90 that we got the prawn sandwich brigade 🦐
