Happened on Saturday only just released info. Some sort if government cover up all along??
Something just doesn't sit right with both instances.
Where is Mel Gibson when you need him.

Mr Rowley and Ms Sturgess are believed to have attended a family fun day at Amesbury Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon before they were found unconscious in the property they had just moved into.

Sounds a bit like Bath's sort of family fun day

Well, that's a twist. It's the same nerve agent, Novichok, that the Russians used on the Skripals. Wonder if they found something that had been discarded during the that particular operation?

Could it be mistaken identity if they'd only just moved in ?
My nephew and niece live in Amesbury with the brothers ex wife.

I'm guessing that, after trying to kill the Skripals, the Russians just lobbed whatever Novichok they had remaining out of the car window and these people stumbled upon it.

Just seen the statement on TV by Maria Zakharova who is the Russian Foreign Office spokeswoman. She sure is some gal.
Seeing the TV pictures of Amesbury is interesting for me as many years ago when I was a student I had an industrial placement at the Boscombe Down RAF base in Amesbury.

You weren't there back in '94 were you, when that US black project crashed and had to be protected on the ground by a SAS QRT before the yanks could rush in the C5 to whisk it away?

I don't know if it's correct but the TV news report that I saw last night seemed to be portraying these two people as persistent drug users. The report said it wouldn't have been unusual for them to have vials and syringes, and it's possible they could have just found this particular item containing the novichok. A couple of their friends that were interviewed seemed a bit "weird" to say the least, one looked like she was still high. If they have unluckily just "found" the contaminated object (whatever it turns out to be), it looks like it was most likely used in the Skripal incident and then just discarded and dumped somewhere.

We Moonrakers ( aka pepople from Wiltshire ) take great offence to this yokelphobic comment. It is tantermount to a hate crime and I have instructed a lawyer from Royds Withy King to deal with this matter. In the meantime you are advised to attend a diversity and cultural awareness course and listen to songs by the Wurzels and the Yokels from Bromham.

If you wanted someone to pick something up would you put it in a syringe or something nice?
They used to booby trap teddy bears in the Vietnam War for the same effect.

I hope it is just a coincidence that these two poisonings are just a few miles either side of Porton Down. But if the russians are behind it it also makes sense that they wouldnt risk taking the excess home with them.

Sadly the woman has now died - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44760875Now this begs the question of just what the government will do now that Russia has used a WMD on the streets of Britain to murder an innocent British citizen. Do they have the balls to stand up to Putin and his criminal empire, or will they just wait like cowards and hope people lose interest?

Only one course of action, remove the football team from the world cup.
Will be the cry from some quarters.
Most probably increase our war of words to level 4.

Terribly sad for the woman and her 3 poor children. Hopefully the man will be able to pull through and survive.
It will be very interesting to see how this develops now. The Govt will presumably just continue to blame Russia (rightly or wrongly) who will simply continue to deny any involvement whatsoever.
Then what happens ?

We’ll see how Britain’s geo political clout is applied for better or worse. The best response I feel is not to provoke Russia strategically, but clear out any known agents in this country aggressively.

Doesn't anyone find it strange that the two Russian victims never died from the original poisoning. The policeman that found them survived and was out of hospital within days...The worlds most deadly poison actually killed nobody....The poison only lasts for around 2 months after being made. So how has it claimed a victim now ? Watching the news the other night they had closed off the street so they could look for clues....nobody in chemical protection suits, isn't that strange ? Both stories are rather strange to say the least and the handling of both are a complete farce. My guess when I heard of the second poisoning was they are going to try and fit this couple up with poisoning the Russian father and daughter.... time will tell

My guess when I heard of the second poisoning was they are going to try and fit this couple up with poisoning the Russian father and daughter.... time will tell No it doesn't seem strange at all. For a start, wasn't it reported that this woman is a drug addict and given that her immune system would probably be shot to shit and there's no doubt be a few underlying conditions that also factor in to her death. Then there's the delivery system, whatever it is that she handled she most likely handled it for far longer than the Skripals handled whatever it is was that dosed them. It's the difference between say holding something for minutes/hours and using a door handle. As for the CBRN suits, it's been reported that the authorities are searching the buildings at night when it's a lot cooler. Those CBRN suits are murder to wear outside in cool weather, so God knows what they're like to wear indoors in this heatwave we're having.

All seems very strange, especially as it is a stones throw from Porton Down.
