N’Goy back in Belgium for birth of his child and Verlinden out with a hamstring I think. She must have been in labour for weeks he has been away that long. Joking aside 2 years ago these two looked to have so much talent, i watched them at Bradford in the check a trade game and both looked to have bright futures. It appears N'Goy has not developed (my view he lacks drive and has relied on his talent as a youngster quite fast and strong against same age group but a mans game is different) and Verlinden has had one injury after another the back one has knocked him backwards no pun intended. I really hope both make a decent career in the game and i would love Stoke to get the benefit of it but i will hold my breath. N'goy has never been popular among the senior professionals at the club.

N'goy has never been popular among the senior professionals at the club. Why’s that? Perceived as being very lazy by all accounts. That was a couple of years ago though so maybe things have improved in that respect.

Charlie Adam was about the worst player on the pitch.

Charlie Adam was about the worst player on the pitch. Consistency is the key to his play!

So the Checkatrade starts tomorrow with Sunderland away. Adam and Bauer are set to play, which is a joke in itself.
And in the continuing theme of stifling young players development, Harry Souttar played his first game in 4/5 weeks on Friday. Why exactly didn’t we let him out on loan to Coventry? He’d learn way more there than occasionally getting on our bench.
We also stopped another loan of a young centre back to another League One club too. Again you have to question why.
Souttar needs games now. And the other one, quite frankly if a League One club already wants him then let him go and learn.

Makes you wonder why they built the sodding academy they don’t seem to know what to do to develop players for proper league football.
