How would you react (in the high unlikey senario) if you found out that the Stoke board were close to getting Wenger as manager?

Like every other manager. I'd start off hating the thought, then I'd quickly warm to him, then two years later I'd wonder where it all went wrong.

We’ll be announcing the signing of Ramsey on a 5 year deal as well will we?

Although I hate Wenger I do grudgingly feel that he has been a very good manager and there was a time when I thought he should have been given the England job.

I'd support it! We need to move past old grudges and put our best foot forward.

Sounds to me like he's actually applying! Short term project = getting us back in the premiership Wouldn't want to face his old team = championship rather than premiership ...All we need is the Coates to demonstrate the means to make it a success and its all aboard the Wenger Bus!!

I would be rather surprised!
But if I wanted an old manager I would go for Jupp Heynckes.

I have to admit I harbour a slight ghoulish fantasy about him being offered the resurrected "project" by our board and him seeing it as the ultimate challenge - winning over the supporter base at a club where he is widely reviled and leading them to glory.... Arsenal fans would have an absolute eppy as well which would be a bonus. I'm in!

Arms flapping, taking the piss, all sorts!" "I did not see that."

How would you react (in the high unlikey senario) if you found out that the Stoke board were close to getting Wenger as manager? I'd be shocked , we don't usually go for the young enthusiastic type. When he was asked at school to come up with a sentence with the word fascinate in it he said " My Mum bought me a coat with 9 buttons but I could only fasten 8." Since then it's been zip.

I'd be over the moon, seriously, he's been fantastic for arsenal given they don't spend like Man U, Man City etc he did well to keep them top 4 for as long as he did, plus whoever buys their players recently has made some shocking decisions.

Arsenal are consistently one of the biggest spenders in the Premier League. Another myth that makes Wenger look like a genius. Transfer fees are not the true indicator of spend. Look at wages.

Much rather him than Allardyce, Strachen or Moyes that's for sure.
Get some better football, a couple of young Arsenal reserves in, some skillful offensive players and we're back in the big time.
Then he can leave.

Wenger is an evil psychopath and the only way he would want to become our manager is so he could destroy the club completely. With this in mind, I for one would be down the ground with some garlic and a wooden stake to "welcome" him.
