Hope so. If we had a squad of Bauers we wouldn’t be in this mess.

I believe it's on the player exit rumours thread.

Encouraging news from Mr Bauer for the future. Pity a few more aren't declaring such allegiance to the club! Though I suspect the likes of Berahino, Wimmer and Imbula may be loyal for other more obvious reasons.

He said he can 'imagine' playing for us next season, I can imagine shagging Mila Kunis but it doesn't mean it's going to happen like

I think he’ll find peter will insist he does leave....unless he plays for £23.50 a week 😬

Top player, top attitude. Pity Lambert sees him as the new Geoff Cameron.

Can’t see him staying. He’s too good for the Championship. I fear this is the start of a charm campaign by him and his agent to leave on good terms. Also once Saint Peter does the maths he won’t be hanging around long.

He said he can 'imagine' playing for us next season, I can imagine shagging Mila Kunis but it doesn't mean it's going to happen like I think that's a bit negative actually and you're not considering the context of what he said. 1. He didn't have to say anything at all. 2. He talks about us being a wonderful club who is he proud and honoured to play for. 3. Not speaking in his native tongue, he said he doesn't really want to think about us going down but if the worst did happen, he could 'imagine' staying here to help get us promotion. He's using the word 'imagine' as a counter balance to 'thinking' about relegation. They're really positive comments, which he should be applauded for.

If he does stay, I hope it's as a full back!!! Him and Badou have shown what is possible when you get your signings right. In particular, the unnecessary signing of Wimmer ate up £18 million which could have been better spent elsewhere. It could have pretty much bought us Badou and Bauer in August and not in September. Add to that, Jese actually turning out to be actually available and it could well have made the difference.

I suspected he'd be the type who wouldn't rock the boat over the summer, and would be a probable stayer, but it's very good news to hear him volunteering quotes like that.
Seems like a very good, solid character to have around

The kind of player and character you want and need around the place whichever League we end up in.
Top man in my view.
I just hope Lambert doesn't hack him off by playing him left wing or something daft ... oh, hang on ....

He said he can 'imagine' playing for us next season, I can imagine shagging Mila Kunis but it doesn't mean it's going to happen like Mila would never two time me not even in my wildest dreams so you're right and just back off. 😀 As to Bauer great news if true. But if he comes anywhere Mila he's out of the squad.

Seems like a very good, solid character to have around What gave you that impression? The multiple linguist in him? The classically trained pianist? The trained pilot? Or just the fact he comes across as the direct opposite to the average footballer?

Whether he wants to stay or "imagines" staying, I truly hope he does. He's the best signing of the last two years and I have the greatest respect for him.

Aye but Villa fans applauded Delph when he said he'd stay at the club then he fucked off about a week later, actions speak louder then words and all that... If he has a cracking world cup and a decent side come in for him you honestly think he'd turn them down?

My gut feeling is we will have lot of players still here next season. Some good some bad. Do relegated clubs have the massive fire sale as being predicted on here ? at the end of the day, their CV has a "relegation" on it.
