Before the Huddersfield match I thought we would 11 points for the following six matches. In five of the we have 6. Beat Southampton and we have nine. That would be OK
My rating now - 5
If we beat Southampton - 6.5
If we draw - 5
If we lose - 4

4. There just aren't enough goals in Stoke to stay up I doubt. Then there need to be enough clean sheets. I expect they'll defend deep against Southampton like they did against Leicester which nearly came off. Hope to nick a goal and hang on to the lead. It's precarious though and I don't they'll actually win matches playing that way.

The ridiculous thing is though mate a draw in all our remaining games (I know Man City ) would probably see us survive.

8. We will be at least 4 points clear of 18th before the last game.
Jesse and Campbell combo will save the day.

It's precarious though and I don't they'll actually win matches playing that way. It is precarious but we have kept 2 clean sheets out of 5 under Lambert and our only win was in one of them. Keeping 4 clean sheets of the remaining 10 is not an unreasonable notion. Sneaking a goal in two of those 4 would give us 2 wins and 2 draws and put us on 34 points. Dont need much out of the other 6 games to have a good chance but seeing as we have only scored 2 goals once in 5, its still not going to be easy.

I can see us missing out by a single bloody point or, worse still, goal difference. Both scenarios are too horrible to contemplate.

The prospect of Zouma and Cameron as our Central Defenders is too awful to contemplate

8 Massive improvements made so far. Southampton 3 (huge game for us, they were dire at the weekend and on bad form) Man City 0 (no chance) Everton 3 (awful away, playing badly) Arsenal 0 (no chance) Tottenham 3 (awful away, lucky today, we play well against them and its a huge home game) West Ham 1 (we owe them after the tonking) Burnley 3 (they will have given up by this stage as will be in no mans land) Liverpool 0 (no chance with Salah) Palace 3 (last home game, must win) Swansea 1 (they will be down by then) 17 points Don`t write us off yet lads. The negativity on this board is shocking. You are all football fans, under Hughes we were dire, literally dire. There have been improvements made all over the pitch, i could list them and debate. Yesterday we were solid, messed up for the goal but then had a little luck at last with the post hitting. The MAIN thing for us is keeping Shaq fit, if he gets injured forget it, we don`t have anyone else who can save us, thats the key. Bottom Three Palace Swansea WBA Oh for some positivity, as the above ISNT unrealistic. If Lambert had taken over earlier we wouldn`t have lost to Bournmouth, a tad more luck and we would have beaten Brighton. There have been ongoing improvements, week on week, this weekend showed the passion again, the fight was back from ALL players, the desire and belief was there. How about the fans reflect that, if the players thought as the fans do on here we would be FUCKED. You have to wonder at the thinking power of some folk! So, from less than a point a game over 28 games, suddenly we get 1.5 points a game, beating Spurs who routinely stuff us 4-0 and Everton along the way and including away games at Lpool and Arsenal. I admire your positivity but you're not living in the real world or maybe haven't been watching the first 28 games of the season! I have mate, i watched the shite under Hughes and the vast improvements in the past few games. I admit there`s a lot of positivity and hopefully thinking in the above but i genuinelly think that if we carry the fight, passion, commiment and confidence into the coming games this CAN happen. Like i said before, the players need to believe this too or we are fucked. It`s certainly not all finished. Realistically we are a 5-6/10 for going down and that`s based on the fact that knowing our luck Shaq will get injurred and then we are fucked, but as things stand i think we can do the above. And yeah we have only won 6 all season but for the vast majority of that we have Mark UNFIT STOKE Hughes!!! Whats Lamberts points per game tally???

We have to stay positive and believe we can do it. We may well go down but not without a fight. Their will be many twists and turns over the next few weeks. Don’t Worry . Be Happy

6 for me, just about in favour of staying up after the promising performance on Saturday. Southampton and Swansea away and Everton, Burnley and Palace at home will be key. 3 wins, 2 draws in those and we will be in with a good chance. Sneak a point or two in the other 5 matches and we should be safe.

2 /10 --- culpable failure across the club, top to bottom
from the lap of honor around and empty ground last May which was a surreal as it was bizarre ( to those who witnessed it)
to, our next sighting of Hughes in the Coates Family Corprate box at Ascot (when he should've been given the sack right there and then)
to, an utterly bizzarre series of transfers ( Bruno Martins Indi THEN Kevin Wimmer ????? £18m ---- WTF)
who was involved ?? what were they thinking ???????????????????????????????????????????????????
to, persisting with ridiculous tactics and formations using completely unsuitable players and bonkers substitutions
to, a chronic lack of foresight - Procrastination in the board room, to take the hard decision at the right time - leaving it far, far too late
and the sheer stupidity, joylessness, truly bizarre, delusional rantings and breathtaking arrogance of the outgoing manager
(whose better than me to sort this out !!!!!!!!!! -- WTF) ( joyless arrogant cock !)
To, our new manager continuing to pick his truly 'useless to a man' Scottish buddies ( I just cant work this one out either)
culpable failure from top to bottom
and it continues -- e.g. why no Ramadan ????
and the 'Premier league lite' approach i.e. doing it on the cheap - continues toward its inevitable conclusion
And surprisigly, coming form all this - the only player having had a shaky start / and middle coming out of this with any real credit this season
Xerdan Shaquiri - he at least can say, he did his best for most of this time around
but all in all , its been fucking disasterous and ten year hard work wiped form the record books in less than 12 months
due to rank bad management
and - if we avoid relegation after this most painful debacle, I for one - will be fucking amazed
and finally - just one man at the club saw this coming - and his name is Marko Arnautovic - who deserves no more stick - just fond memories of how good he was for us ( sadly departed)

7 as it stands & will rise to 8 if we beat Southampton. If we draw there it'll drop to 5 but a defeat & It'll drop to a worringly low 3.. I do really think Southampton away is such a crucial game & greatly impacts on our future destiny.
We're still in with a good chance of surviving but the time of this whole situation being in our own hands is fast passing us by.. We've been unlucky to a degree with dropping 4pts from the last 2 games with Adam's missed peno & Butlands error of judgement but the time to make these opportunities count really does need to start now. No many more could'a, would'a, shoulda's allowed from here on in..

6 - it’s still in our hands. We’re better defensively (not that hard to be fair) and that gives us half a chance. this for me, enough games to get points in.

Beat Southampton and there is a good chance we won’t be in the bottom 3 after our expected tonking by citeh.
It can only breed confidence or maybe fear if you go into games outside the drop zone.
Look at Swansea. 1 loss in 11 loads of great results and still in massive danger
