1 tough run in with a side who have just woken up to the fact that they are in the shit.
As long as we have Shaq we can score against anyone however, it's the other end that has given all the problems so far.
Championship manager, Championship team with a Championship budget I'm afraid.
I'll ask you this. If we stay up just how much do we need to spend to stop it all happening again next season?
Next question, What world do you live in if you think Peter Coates is going to spend £50-£80 million? Unless his daughter needs a new yacht that is.

2 - I feel that the damage done earlier in the season will be too much to overcome considering the games we have left, and our tendency to gift points to teams in and around us, which has happened time and time again this season. That and the fact we have dropped 4 points in the last 2 games through a missed penalty and a flukey error from Jack - things like that tend to go against you if you are struggling, and that could been 4 points that could well be the difference at the end of the season.
To be fair to Lambert, he has made us far more compact and has got us going out to compete with teams, even if we still struggle to create up top bar the Shaq, and I understand he hasn't exactly got an endless supply of options who can come in and change a game, but why he bought Adam and Johnson on yesterday baffled me - he should have bought Sobhi on for Choupo with about half an hour left, and not bought Adam on unless Bruno was absolutely unable to continue.

Massive improvements made so far.
Southampton 3 (huge game for us, they were dire at the weekend and on bad form) Man City 0 (no chance) Everton 3 (awful away, playing badly) Arsenal 0 (no chance) Tottenham 3 (awful away, lucky today, we play well against them and its a huge home game) West Ham 1 (we owe them after the tonking) Burnley 3 (they will have given up by this stage as will be in no mans land) Liverpool 0 (no chance with Salah) Palace 3 (last home game, must win) Swansea 1 (they will be down by then)
17 points
Don`t write us off yet lads. The negativity on this board is shocking.
You are all football fans, under Hughes we were dire, literally dire. There have been improvements made all over the pitch, i could list them and debate.
Yesterday we were solid, messed up for the goal but then had a little luck at last with the post hitting.
The MAIN thing for us is keeping Shaq fit, if he gets injured forget it, we don`t have anyone else who can save us, thats the key.
Bottom Three
Palace Swansea WBA
Oh for some positivity, as the above ISNT unrealistic.
If Lambert had taken over earlier we wouldn`t have lost to Bournmouth, a tad more luck and we would have beaten Brighton.
There have been ongoing improvements, week on week, this weekend showed the passion again, the fight was back from ALL players, the desire and belief was there.
How about the fans reflect that, if the players thought as the fans do on here we would be FUCKED.

Well on our way to winning 3 points we then bring on a RED CARD NUTTER who in the space of 15 minutes rewrote history as to the worst sub ever along with a lad (not his fault) who simply is no where near ready and needs six months on loan at least. If Adam hasn't got his house on us going down then I question his sanity. I would love him to come to my house and explain what the F**K he was doing as we watch the replay of the match. If we had deliberately set out to lose then we couldn't have tried any harder at that moment. Lambert wants sacking for those two substitutions and I'm not joking. They were criminal. Make of that what you will. I simply refuse to believe that a professional footballer can be so bad and so unfit and yet be put on the pitch in our time of need.

Completely agree, i almost had a heart attack during the last 15minutes. He should have been sent off straight away, then headed the ball back and should have cost us a goal, then nearly gave a penalty away (which was a free kick not given) then wasted a free kick that Shaq should have taken. For me, his 'attempt' to put the penalty rebound in against Brighton would have meant he didn`t play again.

How confident are you that we will stay up, out of 10 where 1 is no chance / almost no chance and 10 is certain / practically certain? 5. A point Saturday was more than I expected us to get. Not too hopeful I got to admit but got to keep the faith

I haven't seen anything in the last few games which makes me think that our performances will improve enough to turn it round. We have 26 points fron 28 games = 0.93 points per game. Assuming that this is our level that will give us 36 points at the end of the season. Will that be enough? I'm really not sure.

Lambert has made some improvements and necessary changes but we still don't score enough, still can't win games against our fellow strugglers, and have difficult games remaining.
If Shaq is injured we're completely stuffed as we just can't score enough to win even with him in the side.
Lose at Southampton and I think we're definitely down. Draw there and we've got a very small chance of avoiding the drop. Win and we just might escape.

It isn't goals scored that's the problem..it's goals conceded.
We look much 'tighter' defensively under Lambo
It will go down to the wire and I think we will stay up.
8/10
Confidence breeds confidence.
Negativity is toxic.

Don't forget that the results for the teams around us will also be important.
Stoke were playing poorly at the start of the season, but so were all the teams near us. This has started to change a bit.
I don't see Stoke improving much, if at all, with the present squad, so we must rely on others doing worse than us! WBA are doomed by the look of it, so can anyone pick two other teams for the drop?

So, from less than a point a game over 28 games, suddenly we get 1.5 points a game, beating Spurs who routinely stuff us 4-0 and Everton along the way and including away games at Lpool and Arsenal. I admire your positivity but you're not living in the real world or maybe haven't been watching the first 28 games of the season!

3 for me.
I think we have blown our chances recently and now we have a much harder run of fixtures. Only Shaq and Allen putting in the performances at the top of the pitch.
Too many shirkers in Choupo and whichever awful striker we have on the pitch.
We have become harder to beat but its too little too late im afraid
