Should be detailed coverage of our game yesterday. Maybe with a Brighton bias?

I hope all the Shawcross knockers saw how he dominated Murray .
To the extent that he was taken off early.

The goal we conceded !! You are thaught to defend against that in the U/15s Really? Run that by me 5 one touch passes, first time finish. How would you have set up an U15 team to do that? We lost our shape in midfield before the first pass, the players in front of the back four let them down again I'm afraid.

Shawcross was shocking for their goal. We might as well have had a cardboard cut out stood in the defence. As for Murray, I can't believe he's still plying his trade in the Prem! Just goes to show how poor it is, apart from the big money boys!

We lost our shape in midfield before the first pass, the players in front of the back four let them down again I'm afraid. That is bang on mate. We were very poor at the back all game but particularly on their goal. However, they had no protection from midfield. Joe Allen, who had a mare all game, was particularly culpable for their goal. He should have closed the midfield runner down but as he ambled lazily out to him he looked over his shoulder back towards our goal just as the player with the ball laid it through and then went for the return completely wrong-footing Allen because he wasn't watching what was going on. The ensuing shop window mannequin impression by our centre halves was also painful to watch. PS and as bad as Allen was he was Iniesta compared to one of the most dire performances I've EVER witnessed by a Stoke midfielder from Darren Fletcher.

Even their own players think the follow up was a pen😡 That's probably because it was. Way more of a penalty than the one the useless tosser actually gave.

On MOTD it showed that the follow up tackle was a foul and handball. It should have been buried before the tackle went in though. Water under the bridge now - and probably the moment we will all look back on and think that was when we knew we were definitely down.

I couldn't believe he made the team sheet after Watford. You'd have to hope that hooking him off might be his last chance. I would have rather seen Ireland or Affelay there personally. I'm a big fan of Allen but he was way off his normal performance yesterday. His energy was there but his control and decision making was off.

Even their own players think the follow up was a pen😡 They had a stone waller turned down at their place when Shawcross caught Murray (I think?). It's wank, but just the way it goes I suppose With how things are going, (and if it had been given) we'd have probably missed the second penalty too

Yes I simply can't believe that having hoiked him at half time after that woeful display against Watford he gave him another go at embarrassing himself yesterday. The only thing you can think is that Cameron, Adam, Afelley, Ireland et al must be absolutely garbage in training not to be given the nod ahead of him. I am struggling to think of a worse 45 minutes from one of our midfielders, certainly over the last 10 years. Even Dean Whitehead could actually run. Which leads me to conclude Lambert is just as bad/mad/indifferent/lazy/one eyed as his predecessor.

He's been a top player and model pro over the years, yet all we will remember him for is playing like a hungover, past it, Sunday morning pub team player, who's put his boots on the wrong feet

The selection of Fletcher AGAIN told me all I need to know about our manager and I was under the impression he knew everything about our team!! We are screwed when a manager thinks that an ageing midfielder who's legs have gone and continually gives the ball away gets picked before the likes of Cameron Affelay and Ireland!

Just goes to show how poor it is, apart from the big money boys! Of course when we scored a similar goal at Sunderland last year everyone was jizzing themselves at the silky one two's played by Arnie and Crouch, not the shit defending by Sunderland. When the ball moves quickly it really is hard to defend. I am not sure that there was much that the centre halves could have done- the problem started well before then. Hope you are feeling better today.
