Has to be vastly improved. Stoke City first team squad is simply not good enough for the highest level that the Premier League demands. Many have said that second half performances have not matched that of the earlier 45mins, i.e. at the recent Old Trafford game when it was one of the best first half games from a Stoke City perspective. I'm not suggesting the Mike Pejic pre-season puking up runs, but some of the players need to be the athletes they're paid to be.

I think we will see an improvement in”fitness” if we go into the final 30minutes level or only one behind. It’s also a mental state.

It was so obvious to the neutral fan Monday night when Bauer looked by far the fittest player in a stoke top and he hadn’t played since early December. Hughes has to take a huge blame but also players need to be ashamed of themselves. As a professional they should always be fit. It’s a bloody short career, they can let themselves go when they hit late 30s and drawn the millions in

To be fair, the job never ends for Jack Moritz Bauer so he has to be in top condition you never know what terrorist wingers are going to be fighting him next.

Im astounded that any Premier League team/player is not roughly the same level of fitness as the next! Their paid enough & surely being extremely fit is the minimum requirement to perform in one of the best leagues in the world? Aside from tactical training which will clearly differ what else do players do other than exercise to extremely high standards?
The fact Stoke under Hughes & West Ham under Bilic appeared to be lagging behind the rest in the fitness stakes is very surprising & is likely to be no coincidence that these clubs were struggling under their previous coaching regimes?
