Are we? Berahino would be in the firing line before him. I couldn't give a shit about what he wants tbh. And value? Meh. His goals from the bench could be worth 100m. Well the noises prior to changing the manager suggested we were and Lambert says he knows where the weaknesses in the team are so you would assume he recognises the lack of goals And if we had an offer from Chelsea for Berahino then I'd be far less concerned about letting him go - what has that got to do with anything? No I'm sure you couldn't, you are just about the lowest e.i. poster on this board - of course exactly what we need is one of the leading figures in the dressing room pissed off for the next 16 games as we try to find a way to pull ourselves out of trouble - particularly as a new manager is trying to establish himself and pull the squad together... I' don't know that Crouch would take that approach but a 'I don't give a shit what you want' approach from someone who actually matters certainly wouldn't be very helpful Yes, he could be the difference hence my very first comment... Of course we do but getting rid of a bloke who has actually got some and provided an excellent plan B would be utterly stupid. And Crouch wouldn't do that. He's contracted to us and it's tough titty unless the offer was ridiculous. We can only think what is good for us. At the moment him as a plan B is. And what the fuck does lowest ei poster mean???

Bonkers as it is it does appear to be true. Crouch will be desperate for the move. Two strikers to get in if he does. Crouch + £10m for Batshuyai? Chelsea wouldnt accept that, he cost them £33 million

We allegedly offered £20m+ for him 2 yrs ago. So he was on Carto's list But aren't there rumours he's agreed a loan to Seville and is just waiting for them to get a replacement (ie Crouchy LOL)?

Crouch, a good Plan B no doubt. However, has looked totally ineffective as a starter hasn't he? So, if selling Crouch means we can acquire a new striker who could be a good Plan A isn't that the best thing to do?

It would be crazy to sell Crouchy without bringing in a replacement first, preferably two replacements as we are severely lacking up front.
Sell him on the last day of the window without a replacement and we are drastically increasing our chances of being relegated.

Not necessarily saying he does but if he leaves it's an extra incentive to bring another striker in. Right now, I'd want us to sign a midfielder more than a striker.

It depends what it allows you to do to improve Plan A... You have no idea what Crouch will do - I think you are probably right but given it would be his last shot at Champions League or even a (long) shot at a premiership medal he wouldn't be overly enamoured if we told him 'tough titty' Yes, we do need to consider what is good for us - an improved Plan A and a further improved relationship with Chelsea would both be better than a misfiring Plan B, the only question is whether we can make it work in the short term or not... 'Emotional intelligence (EI), also known as Emotional quotient (EQ), is the capability of individuals to recognize their own emotions and those of others, discern between different feelings and label them appropriately, use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one's goal(s)'

He signed his contract and he's a good enough pro to get on with it. Why can't we have a plan A and a plan B? We should sign a striker whatever. Let's not use Crouch as yet another excuse for the boards uselessness. No idea. Heartless bastard when it comes to these overpaid bunch of mercenaries who mean very little to me? If so, bang on.

He shouldn't be starting but he's certainly still effective from the bench. It'd be madness for us to get rid of him without a 100% replacement lined up or if silly money was offered

Just put £10 on Crouch to be top scorer in the Champions League. He'll probably be facing Glen Johnson of Barcelona though, so it's not nailed on.

We should have a Plan A and a Plan B... we currently don't have a successful Plan A - if this enables that we can then think about a replacement Plan B - which is surely a better position than now? It has nothing to do with caring or having heart - ' manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one's goal(s)' demonstrating you 'really dont care' what someone wants (whether you do or not) is a perfect example of applying low e.i.

What Crouchy wants is meaningless.

Depends on whether Plan A can be made more positive or more likely to succeed - for example if this moves Plan A from the kid at PNE to the kid at Chelsea would it be worth the risk? Correct, however making sure they don't hinder you achieving your goal when they dont agree with you always does... What Crouch wants is most certainly not meaningless if he disrupts the dressing room or stops trying (therefore removing our Plan B)

No I suspect you're right we wont spend £20m but if selling Crouch to them (or even loaning Crouch to them if thats really what they want) brings that down to £12.5m or £15m might we be tempted? I actually have no idea who we need up front as I don't see anybody affordable in the premier league but I just dont see us spending enough money to get what we need whether Uk based or not... which is the main reason I would think of letting Crouch go - either to reduce the price of a direct target or give extra funds to get someone else Again, you're probably right but it needs to be handled correctly and not just dismissed with a 'tough titty' to make sure...
