Read another one on football365. Sorry, can't do the link thing. Anyway after reading said article, including all the stats, the appointment of this man just fills me with dread. Panic appointment by a clueless board makes us more of a joke than we were under Hughes.

He's a legend at Borussia Dortmund, maybe a pre season game at their place?!

also good article in the guardian suggesting his only managerial failure has been aston villa Sadly that's just not correct Wolves he was poor, Blackburn too To be fair both clubs were a mess. He was excellent at Norwich He spoke really well today, momentum is huge in football. If we can beat Huddersfield and back that up with the three signings we all know we need we might be onto something. Saturday is building up to being definitive.

He really hasn’t done that that tbf.
Norwich he did well at. Villa was a club on the decline anyway and MON dicked a lot of money before hand. Wolves he was going pretty well and they tore us a new one.
He generally will give youth a chance. Add to that he has a hunger and desire to prove people wrong. Far more of a hunger than the previous guy.
Is he the big name people wanted? Well no and he would admit that. That said if he gets us hungry, organised and show a bit of fight then we will be fine.

I was at the final in Munich when Borussia Dortmund dicked Juventus when Lambert played. They managed to disrupt the Italian fancy boys by getting in their faces at every available opportunity and giving them no time on the ball. They obviously scored more goals than them as well, which helps. If he can introduce the same pressing game, with fitter players, the fans would respond accordingly. It's about time we had something to shout about again.

Saturday is building up to being definitive. Not sure. Prior to Norwich, he was also excellent at Wycombe and Colchester. Villa was a basket case of which they still haven’t recovered, likewise Blackburn and a short spell at Wolves saw him with a 45% win rate and a great cup run. It’s actually a very reasonable record.

Maybe they missed this one out: In two seasons with Norwich in which time they won successive promotions Lambert never lost two games on the trot in the same season
