Might as well play him today. On what grounds exactly? It would just be more interesting than seeing crouch or diouf. We won't win anyway

I would honestly prefer to play berahino instead of diouf. I personally would find it intriguing. On the basis we are certainly not going to win unless diouf gets a lucky deflection of his arse again. Also, if he is shit, berahino would be slaughtered by the crowd in ugly scenes, which again is far more interesting than the banal defeatist shit we have seen under paul lambert so far

Also, the only way we would get out of our predicament is something dramatic happening, something out of left field, the emergence of a previously maligned player as a hero? Berahino is undoubtedly a finisher. With the utter awfulness of diouf up front our other option, who knows, and as said, if berahino is shit it gives the fans a chance to dish out righteous abuse.

Sorry but that’s absolutely baseless nonsense. It's based on an interview with Mark Hughes in the Sentinel... Link?

The one that said he is able to switch off from football once he finishes work for the day and gets home? Sure. What, that’s your smoking gun? The fact that he has a life outside football?

Yes...I actually think I'd pay berahino ahead of diouf.
That kind of miss is the one that transforms a game, three points just evaporated once again

Sadly I am still of the opinion that Berahino will come good. I think he will score for fun in the Championship and get his mojo back. I hope for our club sake he does and can repay us in the future .

If he’s not motivated to get fit for a premier league team, is he going be motivated for a mid table championship team?
I don’t think so.

Halve his wages and give him a chance otherwise fuck him off Are you an expert on Contract Law? I’m not sure you’d need to be. Unfit, late, and clearly in breach of his contract. In any other walk of life he’d have received verbal and written warnings and in likelihood would have been sacked by now. Why should football be any different?

I would hope that we have, at the very least, been fining him for his indiscretions to the maximum amount possible under his contract, and giving him the appropriate verbal and written warnings as to his conduct. What is different in football to a "normal" job is that any other employer has not paid 12m quid for your services, nor is paying you 60/70k a week for a fixed amount of time. I am sure we want rid of him, but we equally do not want to either pay off his contract or write off any hope of getting a transfer fee for him - both courses of action would lose us millions.

Not sure what the problem is. We spunked £12m on him, haven't played him and his transfer is part of why were heading into Championship oblivion, the board don't seem over concerned as going down will cost us approx. £240m IF we don't come back up within 2 seasons.

play him ,he cannot do any worse than donkey diouf I would normally agree with any sentence that contains the words donkey and Diouf however Berahino hasn’t scored for us so I therefore think he can achieve the impossible and be worse than Donkey Diouf

play him ,he cannot do any worse than donkey diouf Laughable, play somebody who is unfit, overweight (for a footballer) and clearly doesn't give two hoots for SCFC. Instead of somebody who cares and is fit. Saido time at the club is up, get used to it.

Hypothetically - if he played and scores in each of the final 3, keeping us up.. what would our reaction be?
I think he's a good player that just needed longer to get back into form.
Striking is a confidence game.
