Lambert's regular catchphrase after yet another defeat, I honestly hope you don't get to hear it as much as we did, but I fear you will, good luck with him !

Has the opinion of him got a bit better over the years as he's judged against what's come after?
Or is he as unpopular, and thought to have done as bad a job, now as when he left?

UTV Anything positive on his early days with you mate? Not scared to use young players(he had no choice), Benteke was great for him and us, I was one of the clowns who wanted him but sadly I was proved to be a pathetically bad judge of managers His tactics were on a par with tactics Tim, do you recall the lunacy of that second leg v Bradford, I think his win % was about 30% I think, the absolute best he will do is just keep you up and then repeat next season, don't forget to turn up your TV when he is interviewed to pick up his inane mumbled excuses

Gut feeling Staffs, how much of the issues during his time at Villa were of his creation, and how much do you think was out of his control? Stories of much publicised spending caps etc but was there more to it?

Sadly it seems he’s going to have to deal with another set of so called supporters chanting about how bad the team are, completely oblivious to the part they are playing in the demise of the club.

Nothing much different to what Hughes used to say every game. We will give him a chance.

I think our supporters have been some of the most patient and accepting bunch in a long time; that never really took discontent to the stadium until things to the point of no return with those in charge. Or are we still supposed to be grateful and counting our luck and blessings almost TEN YEARS LATER!? I don't think anybody takes being in the Prem for granted - but that certainly does not mean that we should just be fucking around accepting that it was bound to happen sooner or later and just take it up the arse. It is those who DO accept that fate who are the problem, as it ultimately becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Have a look at yourself first before blaming others you complete bell.

To be fair to him he suffered from the verious previous managers who wasted money so the pot was not large, having said that signing the likes of Tonev,Cole, Richardson,Senderos,Luna,Sylla and the truly awful Bacuna among others did him no favours !

I feel sort of elated now, Villa. All the very best managers blow a shedload of ackers on rubbish. And that's a fact! OS.

I don't know about that. A 30% win ratio with another 5 points from draws pretty much keeps us safe from relegation. If he can improve on the 30% then there's no saying how far we can go. Champions League here we come!!!

A bit of both to be honest I believe he gave them a list of options, they told him who he could have,so they were all his choices but mostly not the first choices with a few exceptions (Benteke and KEA)

So anyone who thinks that a ‘support’ chanting how bad their team is a bad thing, is a complete bell? So 100% bell? As in no worse is possible? So I’m much a bell as Hitler, or Pol Pot for example? I get that you’re one of these people who lives in a fantasy world where their outrage on social media/at games could have saved the world, if only somebody had listened, and the ‘happy clappers’ are the problem. But at least think it through when throwing insults around at people you haven’t got the first idea about, especially when it’s as childish and ridiculous as ‘complete bell’. Maybe, just maybe, there is a little economic reality that comes from having local owners who want the club to be self sustaining and maybe, just maybe, a positive atmosphere between now and the end of the season might just help keep us up. I would imagine booing / protesting/ crying will probably not help, but then I am a ‘complete bell’ apparently.

Wait until he see's the likes of Wimper and Berahinogoals, he will think he was blessed with the squad he inherited at Villa compared to the shit sandwich Hughes has made for him.

Tbf Hughes had a habit of saying that towards the end of his reign so it won't be anything new.
