Who do we bring in now? Can't wait to hear from the Hughes out brigade - they must have had this planned out as to who would come in when they yelled week after week for Hughes out

We were going down with MH, I say, Rooster and Charlie Adam and I mean it. And I think we may end up with that combo judging from our efforts so far...

All entitled to opinions and we should all respect each other's but I don't think sacking Sparky looked a good move at the moment

Someone with an outside chance of keeping league 2 level players in the championship
The list runs from Nigel Clough to Nigel Clough
Will Nige turn us down ? Or can we sweet talk him ??
I suppose if we report berahino and winner has lost and not wanted back ,he might come ??
If we keep them ,he will definitely be better off taking his chances at Burton Albion

Pearson for me. Or Potter Me too both are better options than Lambert and McClaren.

We were going down with MH, I say, Rooster and Charlie Adam and I mean it. Charlie Adam’s made to be a manager. He and Crouchie with Kevin Russell would do for me too. Don’t think our squad has enough to fight relegation, if I’m brutally honest but I’d be just as happy with Charlie running the show as anyone else. Especially Paul Lambert, I wouldn’t want him anywhere near Stoke, or McClaren.

Can't wait to hear from the Hughes out brigade - they must have had this planned out as to who would come in when they yelled week after week for Hughes out If he'd of been sacked when the writing was on the wall, we would of had a decent manager in by now. This is all the boards fault for floundering on Hughes' dismissal.

I think Nigel Pearson or Lambert would have a chance of keeping us up, whatever happens next the club need to be absolutely sure that the next target isn't beyond them, and is in a position to say yes.
It's no risk for Lambert or Pearson, a higher profile manager probably looks at the squad and consider it a risk to their career profile

I'd go for Potter. He clearly has talent and, perhaps most importantly, he has let it be known he wants the job. I'd also try to get someone with wide experience of Prem football in to give advice and help for at least this season and next.

All entitled to opinions and we should all respect each other's but I don't think sacking Sparky looked a good move at the moment True however I was a big Hughes fan and one of the Hughes in camp but facts are with or without him his legacy will be relegation. Hindsight is a marvellous thing but as many have said he should have gone last summer. Hughes said he didn’t do relegation that’s because he’s not hung around or been allowed to hang around the shambles he’s created.

Well I'd be going to see Mr Koeman with a 5 year plan and a guarantee of his wages if we get relegated or not with a £5 million buy out clause and pick your own staff.
I'd show him the Stoke Brand dream and I'd show him our history and the fans singing Delilah at Wembley.
But I couldn't run a piss up in a brewery acording to some. Unlike our board who are CLEARLY experts.
P.S If he doesn't want it take it to Potter and if he doesn't want it sell the club and let them install their own man.

I know it would not be popular...but... Frank Lampard jr / John Terry. Would draw players and get instant respect.

To blame the fans who understood that Hughes was taking us backwards, and not the board for failing to react as we nosedived towards the bottom three with the worst defensive record in the league, is pretty pitiful.

All very interesting - but it doesn't actually begin to answer the question at the top of the thread which is "who now?" And "who now?" is actually far more important at the moment than any inquest.

Guus Hiddink, come on down-and name your price! Available, PL experience, with a young assistant (Potter?) could be the ideal candidate.
