Anyone had any experience?
I'm experiencing a root ginger compress on the knee over the next few days starting from yesterday as recommended by a sports physio. I used the same treatment six years ago to draw out any bruising on a knee injury.

I tried it to reduce swelling and bruising after a bang to the head. Spent four days with a pilchard taped over my eye. It didn’t do much at all.
I’m not at all sure Chinese Ken knew what he was doing.

There's homeopathy and then there's Holland & Barratt.
I live in a house that was formerly an apothecarist and it's hothouse. Feverfew, Comfrey, Evening primrose, st John's Wort, burdock, coltsfoot, sorrel, ground elder,, foxgloves, mints, and all sorts of liberated 'medicinal' flora in wild abandon.
Having watched a few documentaries regarding 'water memory', quantum entanglement {'spooky' actions at a distance}, the dilutions to nths used in Homeopathy start to make sense, moving it more towards 'actual' rather than pseudo science.
"In homeopathy, homeopathic dilution (known by practitioners as "dynamisation" or "potentisation") is a process in which a substance is diluted with alcohol or distilled water and then vigorously shaken in a process called "succussion". Insoluble solids, such as quartz and oyster shell, are diluted by grinding them with lactose (trituration). The founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann (1755–1843) believed that the process of succussion activated the "vital energy" of the diluted substance,[1] and that successive dilutions increased the "potency" of the preparation, although other strands of homeopathy disagree. The concept is pseudoscience because, at commonly used dilutions, no molecules of the original material are likely to remain."
Fascinating shit, very interested in herbals and diluting stuff in booze. Oh and placebo too.

It's the same as psychics and mediums, a con run by charlatans.

Suffered with sinusitis for over 30 years tried every medical cure i could, went to a herbalist who explained to me what the problem was and told me the cure was POTTER`S catarrh mixture which i would need two bottles of thirty odd years later and i have never suffered the slightest attack since, not homeopathy but do not confuse the two,it worked for me

He said when it's really bad he has to resort to a salt stick up the nose and ends up chucking up.

What the herbalist told me is your sinuses become blocked which causes a infection which constricts the passage further still, potters cured the infection and then cleared the blockage. If he does try it tell to keep at it and use paper tissues as what comes out is not pretty

There's a place in Whitchurch which is an interesting concept. Set up by a retired senior nurse who is a practising prescribing medical herbalist. Fascinating shop with an array of health foods and all the herbal remedies in old apothecary jars.
There are several treatment rooms at the back and a range of practitioners on call.

I was running with a guy on Sunday whose just getting back into it after having part of his sinus's removed as they had died, and the surgeons removed a golf ball size piece of black shit form out of his sinus's, basically infected festering shit. His local GP had been prescibing steroid spray and told him to take Ibuprofen to help the swelling, he went for a 2nd opinion in the end !
