I'd like to know why mark Bowen has been saying "God Bless" after giving Nige the team news. He must have known they were destined for the chop!

He goes with my best wishes. It wasn't all bad.
I've watched him over the last three months or so, and can say that I believe that this job wasn't doing his health any good at all. He looks ill and seems to have aged. It's best for all concerned that it is over. IMO
Cue smart arsed remarks ......

In fairness, his overall record with us was very good. Took us from a team playing turgid football and threatened by relegation to a top ten outfit playing decent nogger, all in a single season and with a modest budget. Improved us further in the second season, secured a second top half finish culminating in that 6-1 demolition of Liverpool. And in the first half of his third season we saw arguably the best football we have seen from a Stoke side in the Prem when Arnie, Bojan and Shaq all hit form at the same time. Epic performance at Anfield in that semi-final and since then it has all been down hill. Unfortunate that it has ended this way, but many of the decisions he has made over the past 18 months have been rather strange and this is a mess of his own creation.
Thanks for the good times but definitely time for a change.

Shite from Scholes down, complacency from Coates, Hughes just a pawn in all this, the mouthpiece while the naughty boys snigger at the back of class while he takes the wrap. Cartwright is should fuck off too

Thank you. The first two and a half years were incredible. Some wonderful memories, scintillating football and a welcome break from what we had become used to.
Unfortunately as time went on, you lost your way and it was time to move on to pastures new. You ultimately bottled it and reverted to something you aren't good at and it ended as inexplicably as it began.
Good luck, and despite the anger at the minute, you will be welcome back anytime and hopefully given the reception you deserve.
