They have been hoping things might change on the pitch for weeks now, and remained frozen. You cant stand still at this level.
Everyone and his dog has seen the alarming decline in performances over the last couple of months. We are the poorest team in this division at the moment.
I dont blame the manager. The owners have to look at themselves.
Makes you wonder how do they make Bet365 so successful?
Our owners look like they couldn't run a chip shop at the minute

Sheer complacency by the whole management team (board, manager, trainers, recruitment and owners) for the last 2 years, indecisive for the last year coupled with lack of funding and dithering and complete dereliction of duty as owners for the last 3 months. If Hughes doesn't go tonight (and I don't think he will) the board and owners are more culpable than Hughes for our current and ongoing situation.

Agreed, and I'm not for one minute suggesting we are not suffering from poor management and coaching. But the whole club needs an overhaul.......the recruitment, the Academy etc etc. None have these have been up to scratch for some time now.

A regime remains a regime for a reason. Denial is the lifeblood. Only Peter Coates can save us and I don’t think he has the power anymore.

Sorry no one not even Coates is this stupid . He sees what's going on and has done for as long as we have.
I can only assume relegation is his plan and Mark Hughes is doing exactly what he wants, either willingly or unavoidably.
No one can deny anymore where we are going yet still not even a whisper of Hughes being sacked from the owners which says they are quite happy to see him take the fall for what can only be described as the biggest case of mismanagement in the premiership.
I applauded Mike Ashley when he came out and said he could not afford to compete and was as a result selling the club. He may be unpopular but at least he was honest.
Our owners are just keeping shctum and will either blame Hughes for the fall or reap the praise if we manage to stay up. Win Win for them.
A lifetime loss for the fans.

They haven't even tried to compete.
