I will travel from Coventry every game to watch my team in whatever league they are in and whoever the manager will be, mark Hughes has had more chances than any other manager has, if I was crap at my job I would be collecting my p45 ASAP. Supporting your team is a religion and will follow them home and away,,,, even though home games are like an away game! Can't wait to play the fa cup against cov at the Ricoh - only 5mins away on the bus😊 However Hughes needs to be gone by then or we could be humiliated on the pitch and I will not hear the end of it from the other 'arf My son lives in Binley is there a bus to the Ricoh?

I'd still renew. I renewed when we had chic Bates, kamara and little so pulis holds no fear. What else would one do on a satdee, cos shopping and diy ain't on the menu that's a fact. The difference is would you renew if they had bought little ,kamara back for the 3 rd time ,it's more about telling the board we don't want him back , there is nothing stopping us paying for our tickets on a match by match basis just to make a point to the club (season ticket sales downs) Yes I would mate.

Really?

So why did they fuck him off then? You think it was because they were worried about your 350 quid? There was a power struggle and Pulis had run his course (it seemed). No- I reckon they didn't think he was capable, as you rightly call it, of keeping Stoke on the gravy train- same as WBA think as well.Otherwise why would the board chuck some one out over a difference of opinion-the big bucks win every time.

Not sure to be honest. Football and Stoke City is becoming less and less important to me. I hate modern football with a passion. The way I feel at the moment I'll be far more likely to renew if we go down. I can fully understand your dislike of modern football.I don't think I hate it but it certainly is not the same as it was 25+ years ago. In reply to the OP,yes,I would definitely renew, even if we get relegated because although it is a chore at the moment it is no where near the worst I and many, many other Stokies have seen over the years. This doesn't make me any better or bigger than any other Stoke fan and although it seems like hard work presently,I still enjoy going the match.

If tp comes i would seriously have to think as to whether i could stand that midfield bypassing football played in the air again. It was absolute dross in his last season and to go back would be suicide for the chairman as the season tkts would plummet just because we have gone back rather than gambling on a move forward with a new manager
I have followed stoke since the 80s and I'm always amazed at how many times fans are called fickle or plastic fans.
You cannot blame the fans it is the culture and the nature of football in the generation we are in. When I were a kid there were no retail parks, kids didn't go to piano lessons and birthday parties at warehouses full of plastice balls and slides. Kids didn't demand being ferried round here there and everywhere because the car only came out the garage on a Sunday. Mum and dad worked and sat really was for football whilst me mum went shopping. The ritual of get wrapped up, go the match early and watch my family get mullered , watch the game, go home with a bag of chips to watch Aug wiedersehen pet.
Nowadays kick offs are at nearly every point in the day, people work now at all points in the days and over a seven day period. Kids have Xbox, and god knows what else. Football is not engrained to be the be all and end all of society anymore because if you miss it you can watch a thousand highlights from your phone.
This is what modern day supporting is like and all the stalwarts who call fans fickle and don't give a shit about the club you're right because football is no longer the one and only priority in life. Why do you think stoke give away so much stuff for kids to become members from a tiny age, the truth is though if you're not provided with entertainment and that sickening feeling when you go through the turnstiles people will take it or leave it and that's their choice in the modern game.

If the split in the boardroom between Coates, who wants Pulis back and Scholes who thinks we will lose too many s.t holders if he returns is true..who would renew and who wouldnt!!?? I wouldnt...we didnt sack him because he was brilliant!! Didn't renew in the hope of getting him sacked and wouldn't renew if he comes back. I'm done with his excuse for football nothing will change that stance.

I've had a season ticket for 30 years. Going to stoke for me is more than about Premier League football. It's about the atmosphere, meeting up with mates, watching my 7 year old daughter and 5 year old lad develop their love for stoke, it's about the break from the stresses of home and work lives. I've seen different chairmen, boards, managers, teams all come and go. I'll go even if we were to drop all the way down to league two. It's in my blood. I support Stoke and always will do This is me....... Support regardless. You can`t stand there and sign 'City til i die' and then not go... You support the club not the individuals.

We could have easily been Stockport county we were at one time about the same size...
If we were in conference north I’d still be there
It’s my club it’s in my blood, to me been a supporter is taking the thin and thick slice of the wedge...

I've had a season Ticket for more years than I care to remember, and seen some real shite, but I support Stoke City FC and whilst players, managers and chairmen come and go, the club remains...so I'm in, whatever division we play in...that doesn't mean I'm happy Totally agree mate but the only way I'd take Pulis back would be until the end of the season just to stabilize the ship then get rid in the summer. PS like it or not the prem is the place to be and we need to stay in it, it would be a real tough ask to come straight back up if we went down and many have and never returned.

Before I thought about renewing my season ticket if Pulis was the manager, my mind would go back to that Boxing Day football fiesta 0-0 draw on Boxing Day against Preston. That day summed up Pulis' version of football for me.

Getting relegated - No problem, would renew in a heartbeat even if we got relegated to the bottom tier. Pulis return - Why waste valuable life watching "shit by design" sport? I can accept shit when its not by design but not the crap Pulis deliberately manufactures. Much better things to do than spend a single minute of precious life travelling to and watching that crap.

My dad took me as a nipper but in the 80s lack of funds had me drift away only to return in the Macari years but then having a family etc stopped me again due to funds. My lad is now of the age where he’s into football in a big way and he plays and supports stoke so when Hughes joined I returned with him however of late the Pulis type football seems to be dull I g his enthusiasm for the game.
This is the big dilemma I expect for a few people their kids would become bored with the non excitement of the Pulis style game so the good work in attracting them by the club would be undone and they would drift away.
I think the club needs to think bigger and more progressive than Pulis for the sake of its long term fan base

Of course, I would review.
SCFC comes first to me irrespective of players, manager or owner. They are only temporary.
The question has never arisen in my mind for nearly 60 years.

I would renew. I follow Stoke City through every chapter, and have done since 1983. The club and its fans are bigger and have greater longevity than the personnel and nobody should walk away due to disliking the personnel in my view. It's all about OUR football club. Same here. I'm not a season ticket holder because I simply cannot get to enough games, however if I was I would renew whatever. I've stood in the stands on wet cold midweek nights watching us get thrashed by Alsager & District Women's Reserves, or at least that's what it felt like at the time. The slight danger of relegation from the Premier League is as nothing by comparison. It's important we keep a sense of proper perspective here. We are not even in the relegation zone!

If he bought his dossier with him I'd renew in a heartbeat.
Anyone with half a brain knew that swashbuckling football was just around the corner for us had he stayed on for another year.

If TP came back for the record I would hate it the return to spending 90 minutes watching the ball whizz through the air would I renew? Well I will bitch and moan and threaten never to go again waste of money etc like we’ve all done a million times before but at the end of the day yep I’d renew because it’s stoke and unlike a bad marriage with divorce as the get out we are stuck with them it’s like some bizzare suicide pact totally irrational but totally unavoidable

Nope. I can very barely afford as it is, I don't think I could bring myself to spend the best part of £400 on watching that shite. As a side point, I would renew if we went down and Pulis wasn't manager.
