Two seasons ago Geoff Cameron was nothing more than a utility squad player who wasn't quite good enough to nail down a starting place in any particular position. He's now one of our most important players. This season he is our best right back, a better centre back than a bloke we payed £18m for and would walk into a centre midfield position if he wasn't needed at the back. I think that pretty much sums up how much the quality of the squad has regressed!

Carto and Scholesy have to take some blame too for the team building, its not just Sparky. What is not in doubt is that it has gone horribly wrong.

Our best performances this season came when the present squad had just got assembled and a number of players were either playing their way back in - Ryan and Crouchy especially - or the new arrivals - remember when Jese and Max looked like Gods? - were going through all their best tricks to prove themselves for Sparky, and the rest of us.
It was when the squad then started bedding in and working with the management's tactical regime that the problems started, or rather returned. With a fresh manager to impress instead of one whose judgement they sadly no longer trust, this is still one of the best SCFC squads of recent years (providing Jack and Shaq stick around beyond January - tbh we'll be lucky), and well capable of fonishing mid-table still.

As long as we don't have a no socks with sandals policy, I can think of one man that could save us

I'm much better looking than those two ridiculous fancy dans Sal, at least I was once, and for sure I am much funnier, and in any case sexy is in your mind Sal not just your physical being

I still think that we have players who are good enough for the Premier League, but the squad is unbalanced, several are not being used most effectively, and there is no organisation. However, the team is weaker than the one Hughes inherited.

Didn't we play our better games with Fletcher as Captain?

Alls this squad needs is organising and play to our strengths. Unfortunately the prick that assembled this squad has no idea how to do that

My biggest worry regardless of what happens to the incumbent manager is that the answer is 'No'! I don't think this team would thrive in the Championship, the tactics are irrelevant , the squad building has all gone wrong, the players are plain and simple not good enough! I think the championship has never been stronger and we will be going there with a slow, old unbalanced squad with little or no pace. If the Brizzle match is anything to go by we are in danger of falling straight through to tier 3 again. We def would lose Shaq and our keeper who are really our only bit of quality left We are not down just yet though and if we can add 4 or 5 players in the window and get organised then there is always a bit of hope. We have to get our captain back in form, Bruno back and fit, buy a quality RB/LB in the window and break the bank to get a quality striker/centre mid in - no probs ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

From our next 11 games 9 are very winnable.
We have to change the manager and give someone else a chance to work with these players. We still have a chance of surviving if we make the change NOW

A bit random but I would be keen to see Hoddle appointed. Great organiser, tactian and he is available.

Coates should give Guardiola a 50% stake in Bet365 to come and save us...

Not without serious money . Reflecting on today . Jack Ryan Allen Shaq Pieters as orthodox left back only
Crouch as impact sub
None of the others are good enough that's the brutal truth sadly
