Yep was a good game. He looks a real prospect. Now lets see if Phil can do it one more time.

Just turned down a free ticket for tomorrow (and return train ticket). Starting to regret it now.

Wayne Mardle and a few of the other pundits have been so far up Rob Cross's arse for the last few tournaments. Does anyone else the he can be a serious contender? For me hes a great player but hes not going to knock MVG off his perch. If Lewis or Wade actually got off there arse and stuck there heads into what they do best they would have a better chance imo.

Lewis was awful. He needs either Taylor back to coach him or get his belief back, otherwise it's a mediocrity career until he finishes for him.

Has been off form for most of the season. It's been quite a while since I've expected Lewis to win an established name, but a few years back you expected big things from him in all tournaments.

Even more respect back then look at the thickness of those wires. I bet there's a good few mm extra per number on today's boards.

Is Taylor just taking the piss and throwing legs/sets and playing with players' minds or something?
Just odd how he turns it on and off like a tap these days.

I don’t like Phil Taylor however every round this tournament he doesn’t know if it’s his last. I’d like him to get to the final because he deserves in his introduction
“For the final time......”

Its amazing how many people dont like Taylor. Most people I speak to dont and for every good comment about him on twitter theres atleast 10 slagging him off and yet hes always got the crowd on his side during matches. Hes always been my favourite player so obviously I want him to win it, unfortunately I believe he will get smashed by MVG in the final.

I liken it to the Steve Davis phenomenon: Many snooker fans seemed to be fed up with his metronomic facility for accumulating titles and unforgiving, crushing of opponents,he was perceived as too dispassionate robotic and aloof. The technical brilliance and willpower necessary got overlooked (remember the Spitting Image portrayal of him?)then along came Stephen Henry and people started to warm to Davis when he started to lose a few, upon his retirement altogether he became this cherished grandee of the game. Success breeds resentment, granted there are occasions where Taylor's conduct hasn't done him any favours imho.

But the final would be an appropriate stage for the greatest ever to bow out. I would love him win it but MVG will do him. Mind you Gerwyn Price bottled a chance so anything is possible.

Listening to interviews with Taylor in the past, there are 'techniques' he's admitted to employing (walking back from the board diffetent ways etc,) to unsettle ab opponent, that had someone adopted those tactics against him he'd have probably done his nut.
