Especially for these next two games . I have been reading stuff like It's better if we lose to speed up the exit of the manager but I don't buy that for one minute . Always best to make decisions from a position of strength not weakness and I do think it's time for a change .
But a win on Saturday is vital and the fans can play their part . We have Arnie as a motivator too .
I'm sure it makes a difference and we should try to lift them in these next few vital games .

Totally agree but, the crowd has lost its heart too. It comes of watching such poor fayre for far,far too long and the owners being happy to accept mediocrity paid for by extortion. Looking back in years to come, I will always remember last seasons 'lap of honour' as, a key event and, the clubs failure to recognise it--- for what it really was.(the end for another manager whod taken us as far as he possibly could )

Doesn't help when you go 1 down after 2 minutes. Right knocks the stuffing out of me.

People like riccyfuller93 on here who think bardsleys tackles were dangerous. Pathetic.

They need us more than ever before on Saturday, although i hate to think what the reaction will be if Arni gets the first goal.

In these situations surely the players need to meet us half way ? Come out at a high tempo... As previously mentioned, going 0-1 down to Swansea inside 2 minutes wasn't ideal last week...

All bearpitters are now 10 years older and, having had a taste of Stokealona, have lost their appetite for 'play how we want' scything tackles, long throws, and hoofball. Newer acolytes missed it anyway.
The bearpit used to suck outstanding performances out of relatively mediocre players (RF excepted) whereas the crowd on Saturday will clutch its collective bosom and wait for something to happen on the pitch. The bearpit was a product of its time. I miss it but have accepted that it's not coming back anytime soon.

I can see the Stoke fans trying to get a positive and vocal atmosphere going against the backdrop of Arnie being the pantomime villain.
The thing that will destroy it is if we go a goal down. If we take the lead I think we’ll go on to win but go 1-0 down and with all the contributing factors of fans feeling shit and our players being shit means we’ll fold

It'll be hostile Saturday. But moving forward, the only way of getting it back is changing the manager, inserting some blood sweat and tears, tropic thunder and some bollocks into our squad!
We all like abit of Ole football, leave that for 1 or 2 flair players. The rest, I want the old Stoke. Hard as fucking nails!

Something needs to come back atmosphere wise, it's currently as if a sense of apathy and resignation to the fact we are destined for relegation has set in. The refereeing display at the Liverpool game would have turned the stadium into a cauldron a couple of years back, but you could hear a pin drop. Yes the team is under-performing, but they are our team and deserve us to get behind them to give them the morale support they need when times are difficult. I don't really care if players make mistakes, we all do, but as long as it looks like they care and are giving 100% to the cause then booing and calling players out is only going to turn our worst fears into a reality..

If we want an atmosphere we need a manager that knows what turns stokies on. We have tried & and failed to change our identity, we are what we are and what we are at present is not what a stoke team is about.
A team full of tikka takka pussies is not a stoke team, stokies have been bought up in the lower leagues watching challenges going In, honest hardworking players playing for the shirt with bits of flair & quality thrown into the mix. Our current transfer target goals involve reaching out to waifs and strays at bigger clubs with millions in the bank begging them to sign, we're going about it the wrong way for the wrong type of player and it's the root of our problems I say.
Hughes is completely out of touch with the history of the club and the fans, these fans need to see hardworking players with challenges flying in first and foremost. A laid back pass pass pass type of football is shit, let's be honest. Competitiveness creates an atmosphere in the potteries not this shit the manager churns out. We're trying to be something we are not and have lost all identity, it's as boring as fuck. The types of players we aspire to bring in of the past few seasons are just not stoke type players.
We need a modern day Lou Macari for sure, if not the man himself then fuck knows who but for me he's the blueprint for a style of football and type of player
