So no poems whatsoever?- Dom
Blimey, i thought GCSE's were supposed to be getting harder....
Yeah. I know Of Mice and Men REALLY well, Lennie and George etc , the latter shoots the former at the end while luring him into a false sense of security. ;D
Regards to dreams, there's plenty you could've put about that so it's not a bad question to have had, Curley's wife has plenty which she can't fulfill, the slag's just stuck around with ranch hands ,alone, instead of being able to chase her ambition of becoming a movie star, while Crooks just wants to be able to mix with white people like any other guy , much like his childhood...
Good luck in your other exams anyway.

Yer I wrote 8 pages, the unseen poem was easy and I also did Inspector Calls, again quite easy!
Of Mice and Men I had to say how it was harsh and violent so much of it was to do with Lennie, hopefully going to get a B, and then hopefully an A in language ;D

Happy birthday Dom
I always had time for people on English degrees. I did neuroscience and had to work pretty hard most of the way through my degree, but 90% of my mates were on courses like philosophy, psychology and media studies* and had absolutely fuck all work to do, but at least the English students were constantly reading books they didn't really want to read. In fact my flat mate had to read Moby Dick. Woody Allen famously when asked if he could change anything about his life, what would it be replied "i would not read moby dick".
The government's efforts to increase the numbers at university are misguided in my opinion, 99% of kids at leeds were just there to keep up their CV and couldn't have given a toss about learning anything.
*not saying that philosphy is worthless or anything, just that it required very little effort from all involved

I think I win this thread.
7A*s and 5 As, including A* in Eng Lit and A in Eng Lang.
That's when they were hard exams, too.
