not only is he a fucking genius jazz pianist but also a rabid stokie!hes playing a concerto he wrote with the bbc concert orchestra, of which im a member,i met him the other day and hes a lovely guy who told me he d only missed 2 games since december. hes going to be THE next name in jazz, from the set i heard with his trio id say hes one of the top guys already and is being touted as such by the jazz cats in the know.(when i listened to him rehearse he was trying to fit delilah into the piece he was playing!)check him out and get the album!

Yes, I was working over in Derry a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure he'd just been there for the Derry jazz festival, I'm sure I saw his name on a poster. The hotel I was at had run out of carlsberg and fosters because of the festival, good job I was on the Guiness.

I've known Gwilym all of my life. Music is in his blood - his granddad and his dad were church organists in Fenton. Saw him and his dad at Stoke on New Year’s Day. They are both true Stokies. Hopefully we’ll see Gwilym on the box soon – he’s a great musician.
