Well we know what Bonzo has been up to during his conspicuous absence. He’s been honing his tw@t speak. He now sounds as much of a pompous cnut as Geoffrey Cox.

I've no idea.....too clever for me. Back to the Cox speech which you take issue with....In essence he is saying that the pre election government was rotten.....are you saying that it was excellent and effective? I've no idea what Virgil's opinion would be.

I've no idea what Virgil's opinion would be. Both the pre and post election governments are shit. The Tories didn't win the election because they're good, they won because they didn't have as many sticks to beat themselves with as Labour. I'm eager to see what pre-election promises will be kept and what improvements to society in general are made over the coming years. I think the UK will be worse off but I'll happily admit I was wrong if the government (whichever it is) starts to actually make some long term positive changes rather than focusing on easy quick wins and not the things that really matter to most people.

I've no idea what Virgil's opinion would be. Enoch was quoting Virgil in his RofB speech... Thanks for that. I don't see what it has to do with whether Cox is right or wrong in respect of what he said about the pre election government. I don't see what implication it has on some of what Powell said being right or wrong. But thanks for that. Do you think Cox was wrong in calling the pre election government " rotten "?

This is what we voted for. Vile disgusting Tory pigs The vulnerable and people with mental issues have suffered with any change to the benefit system since 1945 so this article is nothing more than the usual scaremongering bollocks that the Guardian revels in. It's the morons that fall for this shit that we should be worried about.

I think that the government/ parliament at the time was causing complete inertia politically, confusion, dishonesty and a threat to democracy in the UK so I think that Cox was correct. It was a big part of the " whole picture".....and it paved the way for Boris and the demise of Labour.

Squareball thinks that if vulnerable people and thos with mental health issues were treated like shit since the war, what's wrong with treating them like shit now. Meanwhile of course real terms wages continue to decline and inequality sprals. If the mnimum wage had tracked CEO wages since it's introduction in 1999 the minimum wage would £33 an hour instead of £8.

This is what we voted for. Vile disgusting Tory pigs Plenty of public libraries are still open and all claimants can use job centres as help where trained staff can help them, they also have key worker aid, sometimes that can be where the problem is. The Salvation Army’s research was based on interviews between March and June 2019 with 160 people across England and Wales who were out of work and looking for a job and had signed up to the charity’s Employment Plus programme.

I'd agree but I have the distinct feeling that a large portion of the country would have taken Boris' side and seen Corbyn as 'whiney' or something. Don't think Corbyn did a lot right but I also think he had no chance whatever he did.
